Alan did a great job restoring our chimney. He searched high and low to find the best brick to match our existing brick's colour and size. The work was done on time and we are very happy with the results! Thank you to Amanda for her prompt responses to our enquiries and constant communication.

Alan is the real deal.For any of you who get the opportunity to let Alan complete your stone work, make sure you get a signature with it. The man is an artist! He has incredible craftsmanship at fair rates that blow the other guys I had working here out of the water.As a fellow contractor, I can say that I'm about as picky as they come when it's my own private residence being worked on by others. With Alan, it was an enjoyable process. I hope to have him back year after year to continue the several stone work projects for my conservation.Keep crushing it Alan and Amanda!

Alan was hired to repoint our old limestone foundation and brick exterior. We are very happy with his work and he went above the job at hand and took care of bees nests in our eaves and fixed our chimney which had a hole and needed to be repaired. Add to that the responsiveness of Amanda , we look forward to working with them again in the spring of 2022 for some other projects we have in mind.

Alan and Amanda are so helpful and knowledgeable. The helped us navigate away from a potential rip off even if they didn't get our job in the end. His work ethics are really great and his craftsmanship is equally as good. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

We hired Alan to install a stone veneer around the fireplace at our cottage. His care and craftsmanship are truly exceptional. He cut each piece of stone to achieve the perfect pattern and, best of all, found a boulder on our waterfront and cut a keystone from it to complete the design. It was an unexpected and special touch. I highly recommend Alan, you won't be sorry!

Alan and Amanda were both amazing to work with - professional and kind. They fit us in quite quickly for our smaller project (stone facing of our fireplace). Alan is a very hard worker, and he took time to drape the space and clean up after so we didn’t have to do any of that ourselves. The stone work itself is beautiful, definitely could not have DIY-ed this. He’s an artist - found some cool stones and was able to make a focal point above the fireplace with them. And to top it off, very reasonably priced.

Alan and Amanda from Holmes Custom Masonry are the best in their profession. Although they were completely booked till the end of the year, they managed to repair our chimney between jobs. Through numerous rain delays, Amanda was always pleasant to speak with and updated us regularly on the earliest possible completion date. Alan's pricing was beyond fair for his quality of workmanship. He took his time to do additional repairs without charging us extra for the work done. He is a man of his word and his final price never changed from his initial quote. It is great to know that honest, hard working competent contractors still exist. I will definitely be using Holmes Custom Masonry for future projects.
