Shoppers Drug Mart

The experience I had here recently was terrible. I arrived and dropped off my son’s prescription and asked how long it would take. I told him I was in a rush because my son had a 39.9 fever and was terribly sick. They told me it would take an hour. So I took my son home and came back in one hour to pick it up. I was shocked when the lady told me it would need yet another hour and her colleague ( the same one who told me to come back and an hour the first time ) would do it when he came back. There was no one waiting in line and no body in the area. Here’s what I don’t understand:1. Why tell people that the medication will be ready in an hour when you clearly know it won’t. That is unprofessional and disrespects people’s time and their illness. This is a pharmacy for crying out loud. Your job is to help people get better2. If you know your pharmacist is not available for an hour, make sure he’s prepared the medications people have requested before he goes on his break.I work in customer service and business development. This is not how businesses should be running.I will most definitely not ever come back here for medications. Shame.Also please don’t waste your time replying to this review. I’d rather you spend your time serving other customers. Google responses mean nothing unless you’re willing to put the effort in actually improving your business.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this Shopper Drug Mart. I was accused of stealing by a girl with glasses with long brown hair looks who worked in the beauty aisle. I am absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated here. I will never shop there again and would advise anyone else to avoid this terrible store at all costs. It's a shame that they employ people like this. I had not taken anything and even showed her the items I had picked up and then put back on the shelf the girl showed no signs of remorse or apology for her mistake. It's outrageous that Shopper Drug Mart would employ someone who is so quick to jump to false accusations and unwilling to listen to customers. It's clear that they have a serious issue with customer service and respect for their customers. I would never want to shop at a store that employs such incompetent and unprofessional staff. Shopper Drug Mart needs to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that their employees are properly trained to handle customer complaints and accusations of theft. Given her behavior, it is clear that she is not a suitable employee for Shopper Drug Mart and should be terminated from her position. Her actions were not only inappropriate, but they also caused unnecessary distress and inconvenience .It is the responsibility of the employees to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for customers, not to make them feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.

Wife bought wiper fluids labelled $5.49. Cashier insists its $5.99. My wife asked her to check and she rudely got on the intercom to get someone else to check. It's $5.49. No apologies or nothing. Other customers stared at my wife as if she's being a Karen for asking to check. For some folks it's just 50 cents. But for a family of 6, it makes a difference. If I was the manager of that place, I would fire employees that make the customer feel bad about wanting to save for her family. This person need to be reprimanded. You can't treat customers that way. If I was there I would make a scene. I don't care what happens to me, I would never allow anyone disrespect my wife that way. Be better or quit!

Don't get your test done here. They can't be bothered to contact you and confirm your appointment. Nor will they NOT answer the phone. Absolutely the worst service.

I wish all these bad reviews take a shift and work with this pharmacy so they can realize how good they are. I know they are busy and take time duaaah health care in canada hello people. Scarfed girl today had great customer service. Just be patient people !!!

Their phone refilling service sucks. When trying to get a hold of someone to order your meds, they leave you on hold forever and then hang up on you. Forget about refilling a prescription before a the holiday, their phone service is dysfunctional and you won’t get through.Absolute waste of time!Shoppers is always understaffed and work their technicians like dogs. Get more staff and respect your customers time and health.

I moved to a nearby location to this shopper and thought it would be easy access to medication. The pharmacy takes 1 hr to 4 hrs wait time to give simple antibiotics. Complete waste of time. I have been to so many shoppers for so many different medications; I never had to wait for more than 10 minutes. I got surgery, and pain was coming back; Imagine me coming back forth for hours to get my medication instead of taking rest after surgery.

2023 May 3★Pharmacy, groceries & post office. This location is convenient to those living nearby. From a store perspective, it's ok.Cannot comment on the pharmacy.Self checkouts for easy shopping.

Appalling customer service. 100% fault of management. Totally unprofessional. One of the worst Pharmacies in OttawaUpdated April 3, 2023.Only thing worse than customer service at the Shoppers Drug Mart location is the customer service (sic) from the so-called customer care department. Their first response is to have a bot reply to any negative reviews. I tried calling their 1-800 number and its about as useful as calling the store which I hung up on after 35 minutes of waiting. The contempt Shoppers has for its customers is staggering but given their history not all that surprising.
