Midwest Property Management

I was hired on as a leasing agent with Midwest after being referred by someone in a management position. Once I was hired on, the individual who referred me as well as the office manager quit by the end of the week I started, leaving me as the only individual in the office and responsible for 340+ units with only 2/3 days of initial training, I felt then and still do feel that is entirely irresponsible as a company, and also put me in an incredibly compromising position. Rather than run the other way, I continued working the position to the best of my abilities nearly to the end of my probation period, but the site manager fired me without explanation less than a week out from receiving benefits that I felt entitled to and would have greatly improved my health and wellness. In short I learned a great deal about my value in a workplace and now am far more careful about understanding a work environment prior to being hired on (as you should too)The people that live there were lovely and often times wonderful to work with, but if you are interested in a position at Midwest with their current management, proceed with caution.

My partner and I have been staying at a Midwest property in Medicine Hat for a couple months now and our experience has been great. Jordan at the onsite office was very accommodating and made the paperwork super easy, the unit was extremely clean upon moving in, and although I have not had any need for a maintenance call yet, I am assured knowing they have 24hr support if we need it.Thanks Midwest Property Management for the excellent service you are providing! (And for the Toblerone Bar on the kitchen counter the day I moved in!)

Not only have I experience awful quality of life whilst living in these properties, but upon departure after 7 years of tenancy, they are fraudulently trying to steal money from me. Protect your mental, physical and financial health by avoiding this company.

Overall this is a nice place to live. I enjoy all the amenities. I am, however, displeased that my rent is increasing next year even though I dealt with cockroach issues twice. This is why I gave four stars instead of five.

Usually I never write reviews, but must say, I have been living here from past 3 years and this place is just amazing. Easy accessible to LRT, Bus station, Walmart, food stores, Super stores, Southgate mall & LA fitness. The staff is just amazing, and they always keep the carpet clean. really friendly people.

Midwest is denying tenants the ability to live with their service animals in training regardless of medical conditions and letters from their doctor. They truly do not care about the welfare of their tenants.

I have lived here for 16+ years and it has been wonderful. They have a real sense of community and the Property manager at Village at Southgate knows a lot of people on a first named basis. She and all the staff here make you feel welcome and are friendly. They are what make me enjoy living here for as long as I have!

I have been renting from Midwest (Empire Park) for over 10 years now. Up until the past 2 years I have had nothing but good things to say and have recommended them to many people however they are consistently getting worse and worse seemingly by the day. They have slashed the amount of cleaners we have to absolute bare bones, going from cleaning the hallways daily to once every week or two. The ventilation has been broken in the hallways and the lobby for over a year now and property managers dismiss it any time someone complains. The grounds are poorly kept and there is essentially no grass left to speak of. They have jacked rents up unreasonably high and pushed out tenants that have been living here for 20+ years despite getting a massive tax cut from the city and reducing services significantly. The office has reduced their hours to 4 days a week with 2 days as appointment only and have forced the property managers to manage 3 separate complexes with far too few staff to handle the amount of units they are in charge of. It takes months to get even the most basic maintenance done and the staff is incredibly unprofessional and refuse to answer emails or sign leases in person, which invalidates the legality of the document. We are constantly paying more and getting less for it, it's absolutely appalling and head office should be ashamed of themselves.

Discriminates against loyal renters who require service/support animals. For no reason, with ALL required documentation. Including doctors notes ect. Property managers Mary Ann and Evelyn should be ashamed of how they treat their tenants and families.If I could give 0 stars. I would.

I have been on this property for 4 years. This community is an extremely beautiful, well maintained, peaceful and very safe. Everything is so pretty. The suites are clean, tidy, cozy and spacious. Very good living experience. Property has excellent great-location plus beautiful view. The management & maintenance is good. Ashley & her team are very friendly and supportive. Giving best service. Always listens to requests & help. I shall always give my whole hardy personal recommendation to Midwest Property Management.
