McKinney Skatepark

Loved it here. The kids had a great time. A great place for kids to take a shot at the skate park and for toddlers to play in the mini obstacle area. We love the trees that give so much shade. Nicely tucked in behind the McKinney centre.

The playground is nice with a good variety of structures to keep kids busy but I don't feel comfortable taking my preschooler to this park. Depending on the time of day, you are likely to find teenagers sitting around the skatepark smoking/vaping who knows what or swearing at the top of their lungs perched on top of the Gazebo/pavilion or getting really rough and abusive with the swings or blasting explicit music from the basketball court or just riding their bikes really fast and swerving in and out of the kids in the playground. I am sure they need to let off some steam but not sure if this is the most appropriate way or place to do it.

Well maintained. Mat near kids play area keeps them safe. Water play area is another good reason to visit during Summer.Washroom accessibility is a plus

Best overall playground we've gone to in Whitby, lots of room and different activities throughout the large area, good blending of younger kid and older kid activities. Shaded area in the middle allows for parent / caregiver a place to rest with pretty good visibility

Excellent park for everyone, it has a great splash pad, tennis courts, basketball court, a skatepark and a decent playground.

A very nice park with lots of options for all ages.Aside from the obvious skatepark, there is a small section for toddlers, and a larger structure for older kids. Good amount of swings (both open and enclosed), many slides and climbing activities. The main playground has the rubber flooring, which is great for for kids fall or trip, as it limits potential injuries.There is also a good-sized splash pad attached, with water options for both little kids and older children. A covered gazebo with a couple of benches provide shade in the warmer days.My only complaint would be lack of trees and therefore tree cover, but that's hardly a detriment to what is otherwise an excellent park.

Great park for kids of different ages. Splash pad is also great for young kids.

Tried out the spray pad on June 2nd for the first time this season. Everything is up and running smoothly. Water is cold but some kids have no problems running around getting wet on a extreme hot day.

This play ground is full service - splash pad, swing/slide, skate park, tennis court, basketball court and many more. However, due to its popularity it attracts all sorts of teenagers, which makes a good breading ground for trouble... If you are parents, just keep it to your self & stay within the splash pad/ play ground. Everything should be fine...
