I lost over 15 years worth of Business and Personal Data and Paul and his Team did an amazing job retrieving it (100% of it). They exceeded my expectations as a customer. The entire experience was excellent: I called and explained my data loss, Paul called me back very shortly, discussed the details and put a plan with me, he picked the device from my office, I paid the $100 assessment fee (which was later put towards the final bill), then a new device was delivered to my office with all my data on it within a two week period. I highly recommend them to anyone. I asked Paul and his team about the one negative feedback listed on Google Reviews he even explained. I am not sure it was a fair feedback based on my experience and all the other feedback. As an IT consultant myself, I know that the process of data recovery could take up a lot of time depending on the size of the data. So, I suggest for anyone to set their expectations and allow enough time for Paul & team to recover the data. The process itself is very complicated and extremely slow. My data was worth the wait. Paul, thank you and your team for getting me my data back; my life could have been a big mess if I didn't meet you and your team. I will recommend you to all my network, friends and family.

I recently used Data Recovery Group to recover my family photo/video files from a failed HD. It was appealing that they offer a No Data No charge guarantee. After the initial assessment Paul contacted me to explain the process and expectations. My HD was in terrible shape and there were concerns that recovery of all the files may not be possible. After a few days Paul contacted me with good news saying after some hard work and persistence they were able to successfully extract the data. Paul was prompt to return phone calls and emails and patiently answered all my questions. I am very pleased with the professional level of care and understanding that the team exhibited during our interactions. I am extremely happy with the service I received with Data Recovery Group. My laptop dropped from just a foot high and wouldn't turn on completely. It just kept saying repairing". I called Asus and they recommended I have my data backed up before attempting to fix anything. I was very fearful of losing my children's pictures (foolishly not backed up) and I wouldn't trust just any company to help me out. After chatting with Paul I felt reassured I had called the right place with the best ability to help me out. My hard drive was damaged and they were successful in recovering most of my pictures which I am beyond thankful for! Paul has great communication skills and kept in contact with me throughout the process and helped me to copy my pictures from my new external hard drive he made me onto my new computer. He took the time to educate me on how to keep my pictures regularly backed up going forward. If you have anything very important to you I say don't take a chance going anywhere else!!"

My external hard drive stopped working so I gave it to them to fix. I spent $400 to have them look at it and tell me what was wrong (I was under the impression that would cover the fix as well). They then called and told me it would be $2000 to fix it. The communication was good and they were nice. I just would have liked to know the cost could be $2000 to actually get my files back because I don’t have $2000, I barely had the $400 for them to look at it. They said it was already opened up and everything so they only gave me the option to destroy the hard drive since I couldn't pay for the fix.So now I have none of my files and no external hard drive. I heavily regret not asking for a price point before hand, and probably wouldn't recommend to anyone else.

Though a broken external hard drive is a horrible thing to happen, the team (especially Paul) at Data Recovery group made it the most positive experience. They were exceptional fast and responsive, and recovered data that I was sure was gone forever. Compared to the big box stores, I believe I wound up paying less and had my files back in 2 days vs. the 4-8 weeks I was quoted from the other guys. I hope I never encounter a broken hard drive situation again, but if lightning strikes twice I know who to call right away!

Seriously the worst transaction in my life! Paul has no business relation experience. He never kept me updated on the recovery progress even though he said he would. I had to keep asking for a progress update due to the urgency of the data. He would barely return my calls left me hanging. He tries to make you think this is such a large business with a state of the art lab when all it is is two guys running a business from their house. There lab is a pair of gloves. After a month of waiting, I never did get my data, $1000 later, I have yet to see any of that money refunded. Don't waste your time! There are other companies like Memofix Data Recovery Service in Toronto that will keep you updated and diagnose your drive without even exchanging money till the job is done. Paul on the other hand wants your money up front and in the end you may not even get your data. I would have given him zero stars cause one star was way too much, but one star was the lowest. Don't waste your time, data or money with this Company""

My External Hard Drive With all my clients files Crashed, Nine years of records could not be accessed, I could not work without those records. DRG recovered them in 24 hrs getting me back in business by Monday morning. They were responsive and understanding. Thank goodness I called them.

I can not say enough great things about Data Recovery Group. I had the absolute BEST experience working with them, especially Paul Hart. He went above and beyond to do the best he could to help me recover some extremely important files on my laptop. He was so kind and very thorough through the whole process. He gave me hope when I had absolutely nothing left in me, and gave me very good advice going forward. I am extremely disappointed to say this, but the technical people working at Data Recovery Group are just clueless and incompetent bunch. They feed on people's desperation and misery. Only running a paid software for recovery is below amateur standards. You got to look sector by sector in the drive and recover and repair the data. Make the data useful to their owners. More than 2500$ for unreadable and unusable data recovery. This is daylight robbery! Go to them at your own peril.I lost close to 800 GB of data thanks to my own mistake. I had formatted the drive but there was no physical damage. It was a desperate time so I googled for data recovery nearby and found this company. 350$ for running a diagnostic to see the extent of damage! They came back and told me that it will cost me another about 2200$ to recover the data. Again, out of desperation I agreed. I was promised that all the data will be recovered in usable form and with original file names intact. After a couple or days or so, I got a call from them telling me that they have recovered over 300,000 files but the original names could not be recovered. This was, as per them, due to the fact that I tried to recover the data myself before contacting them. When Paul returned the hard drive, he told me that they have done whatever was humanly possible". I was eagerly waiting to see the results. But to my horror and surprise

Great to work with, Paul kept me updated throughout the entire process and they were able to recover all of our data from a failed RAID array on our NAS. They worked with us every step of they way without being patronizing like a lot of tech places tend to be.
