Ideal Caregivers 4u

Our experience with Ideal Caregivers 4u has been wonderful. In particular, Raymond, has provided exemplary care for his client. His compassion, care and support is evident in every thing he does and he has an excellent concept of what is needed and when. We are very lucky to have him in our daily life as a companion.

Just a short note to say that as we are ending the first week of mom's day care with Love, we are very impressed with how Love is fitting in with mom; she is patient with her, even when mom gets frustrated and has trouble expressing herself. We also appreciate how she shows mom respect as her elder.We tell her thank you as we leave mom in her care, but I wanted her to be acknowledged by her employer as well.

Ideal Caregivers 4u has been a phenomenal resource for my elderly father who suffers from Advance stages of Dementia.While we were waiting for a LTC bed to be assigned, I sent an email requesting information one night when I was at the 'end of my rope'. Nancy called promptly at 9am the following morning and offered a caregiver for my father that very same day! She listened to my needs and understood what type of care plan would be suitable to start.Nancy is very knowledgeable with the CCAC/LHIN process and sent all the necessary paper work immediately. As the weeks progressed my father suddenly, required a new care plan that would take place during the evening hours. One phone call and Nancy/Lisa were able to quickly pivot and had the caregivers scheduled during the nights, including a holiday long weekend.All their caregivers arrived on time, and I truly appreciated the summary notes that were provided after every shift. These descriptive notes helped to depict a 'bigger picture' of my father's behavior which was informative not only for the family, but also for his Doctor.I would highly recommend Ideal Caregiver 4u to look after your loved one, especially if they have any type of special needs. Nancy and her team are extremely professional and were empathetic to my dire situation. My mother, a senior citizen, fell and broke her shoulder. We couldn't provide provide proper care and my mother couldn't function by herself, so we called Ideal Caregivers and within a day had an excellent PSW in place for daily visits. The service was friendly and professional, and my mother would not have recovered her independence without these supports in place. I highly recommend this company - they helped us reach a place where my mother is independent again, allowing our stress level to drop dramatically.

We rang Ideal Caregivers 4u in a mild panic when our mother, recently moved into a retirement home, was awake and anxious during the night, walking the halls and disturbing other residents. When I spoke to Lisa on the phone, asking about overnight help, I was immediately impressed with her kindness and warmth. It radiated from her, down the phone to me, and after she asked, ‘When would you like to start?’ and heard me pause, she suggested, ‘Yesterday?’Which I loved.And they found someone that night. Not just someone, but a kind, attentive, highly-qualified caregiver, who became so expert in our mother’s preferences and personality that he could advocate for her, and share what he knew about her with staff.Our mother was loved and tended by all three caregivers we hired through Ideal Caregivers 4u and we appreciate them, deeply, for helping us through a profound gear-change for our mom, making the quality of her life and ours so much better.

For the past 10 months my family has been using the companion services of Ideal Caregivers 4u for our mother who is on the Memory Care floor at the Colonel By retirement home in Ottawa. Early on it was evident that having a companion with her at various times of the day was having a positive impact on her health. The care, compassion and professionalism of the individuals employed by Ideal Caregivers has given our family comfort and reassurance that she has a friend with her when family cannot be there. Two of her constant companions, Kelly and Luc are without a doubt consummate professionals in the care and attention to detail they provide when with our mother. Having the daily reports has been extremely helpful in giving the family insight into how Mom’s day has been. The reports have also been identified by Mom’s other health care professionals as a critical tool in support of managing her health. I would highly recommend the services of Ideal Caregivers 4u as they provide excellent companion support for your loved one and leave you with the peace of mind that they are in good hands.

I have an adult son who is developmentally disabled, and we have been receiving respite services from Ideal Caregivers 4u since 2017. We have always been very satisfied. He has really benefitted from having the same excellent caregiver since we started, she is very motivated to keep him active, and take him into the community, and has been very dependable. Everyone that I have dealt with at Ideal, is very professional.

We are so appreciative of the excellent service provided by the administrators and staff at Ideal Caregivers. They have gone above and beyond to provide the best possible care for our father during these difficult times where there is a shortage of workers in the Home Care field. We are truly appreciative of the extensive time given to get our scheduled requests covered, for without their service our father would not be able to stay at home. A special thank you to Lisa and Nancy for all of their hard work and support.

Ideal Caregivers have been a tremendous support over the last 24 months as my family has gone through illness and change with the devastation of dementia. Ideal has been flexible with schedules and always finding support even at the last minute. They provide daily reports so I am informed. The care providers have provided great companionship.

So far I've had three personal support workers from this agency and they have been very, very helpful with assisting me transport my father to and from the Ottawa Hospital from his long-term care home. Highly recommended if you need someone there to be with you in this capacity.
