Ferry ride was great! But beware of the owners of the little fast food joint on the south side of the river. After being rudely told where to put our bicycles we purchased some gatorade. While sitting at a table by the water enjoying our drink the owners told us we weren't allowed to sit there, despite having made a purchase. Apparently we were taking up a good table". Since there was only one other couple and four free tables it seemed a bit harsh. Next time when I do buy lunch

Not sure it really saved a hole lot of time for us but the drive was more relaxing than on the highway

It's a great, quick service. Never had any issues but was confused with new covid rules. If walking, on bike, on motorcycle or convertible there are no issues. You are on deck in the open air. If you are in a car you cannot get out at this time - which was never a past rule. This is hard on a hot day or with elderly people in the car. Might want to consider heading to Hawkesbury instead and skip the lineup and $10 fee. However, the service is helpful.

Small and quick ferry service across the Ottawa river just below the Carillon dam. Fare was $10 tax included for cars and regular SUVs and pick ups. Check their website for latest fares by vehicle type.

Love this ferry, its cheaper than the Hudson ferry for a truck and seems more personal, its a shorter trip than Hudson and the view isn't quite as good but having used both many times we prefer to us this one when possible..

This is a charming addition to trip we take annually to the Zool Sunday brunch. It is charming...we wait in line in our car.. then directed to drive in.. and the boat moves across the river. It now costs $9 per car. If you wish you can park your car and simply walk into the boat walk in passengers pay much less.
