Guelph always has done a great job sharpening my skates, I made mistake of letting kitchener location do it once, don't do that, drive to guelph if you want to be able to stand up on the ice.

We've had nothing but a good experience at this location in Guelph. The staff have always been very helpful and quick to answer questions. Skate sharpening here has been very good. The rare time we weren't happy with a sharpening, they were immediately apologetic and re-sharpened without charge. Continues to be a go-to place for equipment for us.

I think that Play it Again Sports is what a business should be like. They are fair, honest, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They will not sell you a new helmet/skate for your kid if the one they have still fits (I’ve done this twice thinking my son needed a bigger size but I was wrong). I always get personalized attention and each time I’m amazed the employees have the patience to deal with my young son. This is a great place to shop and I encourage others to shop there!ETA several years later: I’m keeping this review at a 5 because I still love the place, but just some additional information: Their skate sharpening is not ideal if you have a competitive hockey kid.

Shopping for ski boots we unfortunately discovered significant mouse droppings and food remains in two different pairs. Play it Again should really be cleaning / checking their used equipment prior to selling it.

This store might as well change its business hours. I came from out of town to try and find products, arrived at 8:15pm. Posted hours online and on the store door say close at 9:00pm, but the doors were all locked and lights out. I’ve just wasted so much of my time coming to this store. Brutal.
