This hotel is right by the Canadian border, which means you are quite distant if you are planning to travel to Vancouver or Richmond. We took a night here because of the inexpensive prices.Upon walking in, you're able to see and smell the tub. I can tell that at one point, this was an extremely beautiful and elegant hotel. Times have changed, and it doesn't look like this hotel has had any upgrades since it was first built --- guessing 1980's?It's inexpensive in comparison to the other hotels, so you can expect there to be less service. There aren't a whole lot of towels prepared, but they do offer shampoo, conditioner and lotion.The wifi worked great in the middle of the night and at 4AM, but once people started waking up, the internet was of no use. Nothing would load once 6AM rolled around.

Staff is great, polite and accommodating. The hotel is clean and quiet, with wide common areas that allow ease of passing other groups in the hall. The only reason it isn't a 5 star review is that there is starting to be some aging issues such as cracks in the wall, the toilet ran (but wasn't reported, the staff didn't ignore us) and a missing transition between tile and carpet gave a nip from a carpet nail.

I had a job interview here with a very nasty lady before it closed. The lady was a manager, she did not believe my background when I was interviewing for an night auditor. I told her my security background experiences as she kept on shooting her big mouth off, Security doesn't do this or that

Stayed there during a business trip due to everything else is being booked. Nice comfy rooms with balconies overlooking the pool. Can get loud if there are lots of kids playing in the pool. Beds are comfy, service is nice. Giving 3 stars because the restaurant menu isn't that great, and the balcony doors need to be better insulated. Otherwise great place to stay for families.

Room was relatively clean, but very dated. Bathroom light was burned out. No continental breakfast, not even a coffee bar, just terrible in room coffee. Bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Lots of parking, even for large vehicles. No restaurants within walking distance but there is a decent restaurant overlooking the covered courtyard inside.

We stayed for a Saturday night on our way through to downtown Vancouver. I read the reviews before booking online, and was expecting to see our room in good repair/updated as was promised to the reviews of two months ago. Instead, the room had duct tape holding the carpet at the threshold, and the air conditioning held no comfort whatsoever. There was a two-by-four jutting out from the box springs on one bed. However, the room, and hotel, were reasonably clean. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful. The pool area had an attendant who was bright and cheerful. I did not venture into the bar or dining room, but the bar was busy at night and the breakfast looked packed as I was leaving. I imagine the staff has shown great improvement vs. previous reviews, but the zero dollar maintenance is going to bury the place. Would I stay there again? no. My wife disagrees, thinks they deserve another chance. I will endorse the staff, as I'm sure they work very hard to keep customers satisfied.

Clean and comfortable beds. The rest of the hotel needs updating. Fresh new paint would be a start both inside and out. A/C had a tough time keeping up with keeping the room cool at night. Breakfast was great for the price (free). Friendly staff.

We spent 3 nights here recently. The front desk staff and houskeeping were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and you could control the temperature. loved the balcony overlooking the pool, which was beautiful. The restaurant I would give a 2.. very slow. Food was not hot and they were out of a lot of the choices. ONLY other downfall was half the pool was closed for swimming lessons from 10-3. Kinda weird. Will definitely be back.

Breakfast was edible, but barely, and towels were hard to come by. Our hallway constantly smelled like smoke even though it's non smoking. Pool was nice: nice idea but cold and under filled. Rooms either had an indoor or outdoor balcony which was nice. Overall the experience was just okay.

I recommend not going to this hotel. They have nice design on the outside with swimming pools but the food and the hotel room was really bad. The breakfast was just barely edible... And the hotel room was just horrible... I really would not recommend this hotel room is really dusty, old and cold. The housekeepers really did a bad job cleaning the room. The shelves are very dusty and the air conditioner was broken so the cold air kept licking and when I woke up I had really bad throat and also my family had one too. We kept coughing and I spitted old dusts and my tongue was black because of the dusts I was breathing when I was sleeping. It was just an awful experience... This hotel was the worst hotel I’ve experienced. Never go to this hotel, it looks nice outside but the inside is horrible.
