SHAHRAYAR GRILL HOUSE
We ordered the platters. Mine with a skewer of each of lamb, chicken and ground beef. I didn’t want rice just extra salad. My wife ordered the same platter with both rice and salad. Meals came with pita, tzatziki and hummus as written in the menu. Ok.Pita and tzatziki come to the table first. It’s not tzatziki but a plate of ranch dressing. No cucumbers, dill or other herbs. Straight up ranch dressing from a bottle. Red flag #1.Our entrees arrive to the table. Hummus has gone rancid. Red flag #2. Server said it was made fresh this morning. Lol. We call BS. Both plates came with a small green salad and warm coleslaw (red flag #3) heavily dressed in a yellow substance. No one wants warm coleslaw unless you like food poisoning. The meets were all cool, not hot or even slightly warm (red flag #4). As we spoke to the youngish server her response was simply, “I just serve what I’m given. Sorry.” We literally had 2 bites of our meals and it was not even worthy of 0 stars. Not worth paying $50 for what should have been a decent meal. We told the server we’re not happy the the quality or how it was not what was listed in the menu. She said she’d get the owner who was also the cook. He came out of the kitchen, he flicked his hand at her and told her to let us leave. Complete waste of time.

SHAHRAYAR GRILL HOUSE
This restaurant is a pleasant discovery. We were looking for a kebab place to try and we are glad we found Shahrayar. We tried the take out and it was good so we decided to dine in. The interior is big with lots of seating. They have a bakery adjacent to the restaurant where they make fresh pita bread. We were served with fresh warm bread off their bakery with tzatziki which is quite tasty. The quantity of food is very generous and presentation is really nice. We ordered lamb shank and BBQ mix platter. The taste exceeds expectation. Over all price is worth what you are getting. If you want to order the fish or oven chicken, we were told to call a day in advance. Highly recommended.

We had a group dine in which was great.Reservation was honored and preordered food was on time once we arrived. Great delicious food. We had lamb kabsa and family platters. Meat was fresh and tasty. Staff were very friendly. Definitely we will be back.Added !June 8, back again !( for the 5th time)Customized our own family platter !Delicious:)

Absolutely loved the food here! Went here with my family and ordered the family platter, which was really bang on. The bread was really soft and tasted delicious, as did the sauces. You get a lot of food for the money, and the quality of the food is top tier. The service was really lovely. 10/10 i am definitely coming again.

A hidden and halal gem in Surrey. So great.The family platter is plenty for 6 people. Maybe good for a very, very hungry 4 people.The lamb and kebab were tender, flavourful and delicious. The variety of rice - biryani and saffron rice - makes the family platter so worth it. It was paired with some grilled tomatoes. Yum!I consider myself the sauce boss, and I’ll be back just for hummus and baba ganoush.Really enjoyed the experience, felt homely and comfortable. The service was great and friendly.

Hidden gem, accidentally found it n became my favorite. They make there own bread in house. Food is fresh n amazing, the kebab are so juicy n lamb shank no words. Their is only one server but she is attentive and polite. Guys do try n give them business.

I wanted to try some non veg for the dinner and found this place on the google maps. Went in to try, since it was my first time so I wanted to try a bit of different kebabs they have on menu. I ordered BBQ mixed platter which has beef kebab, lamb tikka and chicken tikka, on the side there’s rice, humus and salat. Before the main course is served, they give you naan with tzatziki sauce and lentil soup for appetizer which is free of cost. Naan was very fresh and tasted very good with the sauce and soup. Kebab and tikka were tender, juicy and tasted very good with the sides. The serving size is too good, you can’t finish the platter if you are alone, it’s minimum for 2 people with good appetite.

I ordered thr famous chicken curry and chicken kebab plate which comes with rice , bread and salad as well. The taste was mild to our taste buds however chicken was really tender and well cooked. They just add curry on top of kebab to mar it as a curry plate. Both are almost same. Bread is served with a dip which is good as well. Price is around 35 for both and the portion is huge. Enough for 2.5 big Guys.

Great food and excellent customer service. All their meat is fresh and locally sourced. The lamb shank is so juicy and cooked to perfection; it literally melts in the mouth. I would definitely come back again.
