The staff is incredibly helpful when you really need it. Highly recommended and beautiful spot!!!!

Did a little research on my navigation app and noticed one review from a couple years ago mentioned the staff was really abrasive and curt." Like "We'll chain your boat to the dock if you try and sneak in after hours" kind of curt.When I called in I mentioned that review and said I was a bit apprehensive and the person who answered my call acknowledged it. "We're under new ownership and we're putting a high priority on turning that around." It was the perfect thing to tell me- but talk is cheap."Shae" then went about helping me sort out my reservation over the long weekend (since they were going to be closed on our arrival and throughout our stay)... We showed up and as promised everything was arranged with all the things we needed left in a drop box including an info sheet.Bathrooms / showers were awesome (and no tokens needed for the shower). Laundry was just 1 set of washer / dryer but also no charge so being end of season that was awesome and available for us.There's a nice restaurant / cafe- closed Monday / Tuesday though... not much else going on here but it is nice and quiet. I noticed the docks are being repaired so things are moving ahead. Didn't get any wifi information but I didn't ask for it either...Overall I was really impressed!"

Love this place. Been mooring here for 3 years off and on. Lots of investment in this gem of Vancouver island. Shae and Emily are attentive and on point with dock service and organization. Really great job! Seascape restaurant and cafe is a great addition and must do pit stop when traveling the east side of Vancouver island.

Fairwinds Marina is exceptionally beautiful. Up and coming Seaside Village with world class living and amenities.

We were sailing from Nanaimo to Pender Harbour on July 7th when we were caught in unexpected high winds and waves. We turned around near the Ballenas Islands and made our way to the closest safe Harbour. Kudos to Juan and the crew for helping out and giving us a safe place to stay for the night!

More important than the facility being beautiful and well kept, the staff that we encountered made us feel incredibly welcome. Thank you to Rowan, Shae and Emily for treating transient clients so generously. We look forward to returning. Brad. S/V Arletta

I injured myself last week while fishing and was not able to put my fishing gear away. Marina staff noticed my gear sitting in the open and because they knew I was injured they secured it in the office.Great service. What more could you ask for?

Kind of a mess right now due to construction. Not a lot of parking, especially for trailers, so be early if you're launching. New bridges to the docks are lovely.

The docks are well maintained and the staff is so helpful. They're always checking lines and letting moorage clients know about anything amiss. And the location can't be beat - easy access to explore the Ballenas-Winchelsea archipelago, and only 10-15 minutes to great fishing.
