Dr. Kothawala and staff are excellent. They care about their animal patients and owners. They offer great service and value.

They were able to accommodate me for a last minute appointment on the weekend for my new puppy. The entire staff was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We left feeling like our puppy was in good hands, and we were extremely pleased with the service we received. Thank you!

Great customer service. The ladies in the frount are very friendly and attentive. I have vaccinated all my cats and kittens here. The doctor is very informative and helpful. They are pretty flexible with appointments and availabilities. Very reasonable prices and rates for multiple pets. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

We loved this clinic for our cats! If we hadn't moved to Hamilton we would have kept taking our cats here. The pricing for vaccines and checkups are very fair in the area (I called every vet clinic to get pricing). In addition to pricing, the staff and the vet are very accomodating and listen whenever I expressed concern in terms of my cats' health. They even call in once in a while to check to make sure everything is okay!Overall, I will miss this clinic very much and I highly recommend them to any per owners in the area. Honestly, don't listen to the good reviews. The vet is actually really rude, he also never knows what he's actually talking about. I own 3 dogs that I used to take here and eventually I began to catch on, he is extremely over priced. Never once have I gone in an have him treat me like a paying customer of his, very dry, rude, really bad attitude. He doesn't care about the animals you bring in, he always just gives first possible diagnosis he can think of without doing further testing which makes you have to come in multiple times and spend more money, and also have your pet taking longer to get better. The prices again, are ridiculously more priced than most other vets. Finally when I decided to leave I needed just a simple email of my vet records for my newest dog, which his receptionist said she would get to me. With 2 weeks of constant attitude over the phone like they were mad that I was transferring vets I finally had enough because I needed the records for my dogs appointment the next morning. When I began using the vet I'm at now because I had enough of having to book constant appointments to find out what was wrong with my dog, and having to spend more money time after time again my new vet tested, diagnosed, and gave me what was necessary to help with my dogs sickness, and after only one appointment was able to give me what I needed so my dog got better, and now he is perfectly fine.This vet overall has a really bad attitude, seems quite inexperienced, and you can tell he doesn't really love what he is doing and only cares about the money.I wouldn't recommend anybody be taking their pets here.

Went here out of the blue because I was new to the area and had just run out of food as I found out I was positive for covid. The lovely person who answered the phone was really understanding and super helpful, seamlessly adapted to take my payment and bring the food outside for me to take. I've been a vet tech for a decade and this is the kind of service hospitals should strive for. Thank you for being so helpful!

I had to put my dog, Tony down today and it was going to be a difficult process with COVID-19 protocols. I begged the vet to let me stay with my dog until the very end. We kept social distancing, masks and what not and I was able to stay with my 13 year old dog til the very end. After a lot of tears and goodbyes, the vet was kind to share his story. He’s been our vet since tony turned 3. He’s helped us with litters of pups. Fair pricing, friendly staff and very empathetic towards our circumstances. Thank you for your service and time! Always accommodating for every ER situations we run into.

Dr. Kothawala and the entire team are wonderful! As a first time pet owner they are friendly and reassuring. They take the time to listen and explain and offer great advice. The care my dog, Izzy, has received as been excellent and pricing is definitely fair and reasonable. As someone who works full-time the clinic hours allow me to make appointments outside of work hours. 5 stars for Tomken Rathburn Veterinary Clinic!

I’ve been going to Dr Kothawala for over 20 yrs. He has taken phenomenal care of my childhood pets growing up. I remember when my cat wouldn’t stop crying in the bathtub at 2am and we knew something was wrong. We called him in a panic and he woke up and came into the clinic at 2AM just to help us. He has been empathic and gentle when we unfortunately had to put our cats to sleep or they passed of old age. When we cried, I’m pretty sure he shed a tear with us. Now, as an adult I still bring my 3 cats to him. He has the most fair prices and you can tell his heart is in it. He always educates us on conditions, medications and everything surrounding our cats health. I have recommended friends and family here who agree with this too. His partner Lisa, is also very empathetic and gentle when handling our pets, which is just the cherry on top of an already wonderful experience.Thank you, Dr Kath and team, for all these years of phenomenal service and support in our times of need.

First of all, the 1 star reviews are rivals or have been paid. In my 20 plus years of bringing animals to vets this one made me very comfortable. He took 2 of my small dogs and charged me for the price of one (proves hes not after money) and he gave me a sample of really nice dog food for my pups (again, not after money). He was polite, professional and I really got the impression he cared more about my animals than my wallet. It's not often I feel that way at a vet. I highly recommend him and will continue to do so.
