The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Old Montreal, and was great to listen to, answered questions well. We would have preferred shorter stops and more walking, but would definitely recommend this to anyone.

David was generous with the local and national history, humor, perspective, and his sense of hospitality made me feel like my questions weren’t ignorant. His timing and pace were perfect for me. We went beyond what I had imagined as Old Montreal. Great to do on your first morning in the city.

Can't believe this was a 'free walking tour'. For the quality of the tour and guide we got, it sure beats a lot of the paid walking tours we've been on. We were lucky to get Stephanie as our guide and she was phenomenal. She provided the personal touch and human interest aspect to the stories about Old Montreal that helps us remember it better than any spiel about historical events and statistics. She also did a great job organizing and signposting throughout the trip, letting us know what to expect and keeping us in suspense about some bits of information. Left the tour learning so much about this beautiful city and also great recommendations that were tried and tested by our trusty guide :)

He was very knowledgeable and nice. The day was beautiful not too hot. We got to tried great pastries around the area and he pinpoint the great location to see the 360 view of Montreal.

I loved the history, the jokes and fun facts.Old Montreal is a must see place and although it wasn't my first visit there, attending the tour enlightened me about its fascinating history and beauty.Stephanie shared a list of places to go to and for sure we visited a lot of it the next day.It was about 9°C and partially raining, that didn't stop us.Big thank you to the team, what a great experience!

My wife and I booked a free walking tour of old Montreal on the 27 June 2023, and it was one of the best decision we made so far. Our tour guide was Gabriel, he is so knowledgeable and friendly, despite the fact that he does this as a hobby! Gave us so much insights on the political clashes and struggles that mold Montreal to be the city it is today. Gave us great recommendations on the restaurants and bars to visit in the city. Will highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the city for the first time.

The Free Montréal Tour was a GREAT way to get to know some of the history of Old Montréal and how this great city came to be. It is a short 2-2.5 hour tour. Our guide David was very knowledgeable, nice, and spoke perfect English. Highly recommend!
