Luminous String Quartet

Luminous Quartet played our ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding on June 16, 2018. I always knew I wanted live music at my wedding and Karen and her team were the perfect match. Karen is professional, friendly, and easy to work with. Karen connected with out wedding officiant Colleen to ensure the ceremony went on without a hitch. My husband and I had to fight off the tears when we heard them playing during the ceremony it was truly a magical moment. My only regret was not getting to enjoy the music more as we had pictures during cocktail hour. I wish we hired them for the dinner as well. Thank you again Karen and your team!Kellie and Kyle

Karen saved the day!I planned everything to surprise my partner for our 8th anniversary. However, due to an emergency, I had to cancel everything and devise a new way to surprise my partner TWO DAYS before the special day. I read many great reviews about LSQ and was quickly captivated by their sample performances on their web page. So I emailed them and asked if they could help me surprise my partner. In less than ten minutes, Karen replied and enthusiastically accepted my request. She even called me, helped me choose the perfect songs for the occasion, and allowed me to pick other pieces too.She arrived early at the venue on the event day and performed every song flawlessly. She's very professional and very friendly. Although other parts of my surprise didn't go as planned, Karen's performance was more than enough to make that day unforgettable for me and my partner. It won't be the last time, for sure. I will definitely book the entire LSQ next time :)

Karen is a beautiful person. You immediately feel at ease talking with her which helps immensely when trying to decide what music you would like played. She was incredibly patient and played us multiple songs never making us feel like we were in a hurry to choose. She didn't have a song that we wanted and was able to compose it for us in time for our wedding. The added touch that she could do that for us was amazing and came out beautifully. The range of music she had to offer is also substantial. Everything from Bach to Metallica. Not to mention everyone's favorite GOTs theme song. It was just perfect. We couldn't have been happier and have had SO many people come to us after our wedding raving about Luminous and how fantastic they were. I would absolutely recommend Karen and LSQ to everyone and anyone.

We had an incredible experience with the Luminous String Quartet! Karen is so enthusiastic, and made the entire planning process easy and fun. One of the only things I knew for sure I wanted for our wedding was what song I wanted for my entry music. Once we had a venue picked out, I got it in my head that I really wanted a string quartet but convinced myself only the mega wealthy do that and there’s no way we’d be able to afford it, and even if I could they probably wouldn’t play the one song I knew for sure I wanted. Based off some light research (it’s not hard to find the best in town!) I stumbled across the Luminous String Quartet page and the rest, as they say is history. Karen made planning an absolute dream and was super on board with arranging my chosen song for the big day! We were able to put together a play list that incorporated so many of mine and my partner’s interests and history, as well as classics that were a part of my upbringing. Our guests all raved about the music, and with a very musical (and musically diverse) crowd that’s a huge compliment! The music provided by LSQ is now the soundtrack to one of our most core memories as a couple and we are forever thankful.

We had the Luminous String Quartet play at our wedding ceremony recently and they were everything we could have wanted! They played beautifully and we got lots of compliments from our guests saying that they were amazing and a beautiful touch to our ceremony. They had multiple songs to choose from, plenty that were unique and not just classical music, so we were able to choose songs that were best suited to us. They were able to take lots of popular songs that all our guests knew and gave them a fun, elegant twist. Karen was super easy to work with and she is such a friendly, caring person. I talked with her on the phone multiple times as well as met with her once to ensure she understood exactly what we wanted from them, so I never felt worried that something was going to go wrong the day of. She even called me the day before the wedding to touch base with me and to just wish me good luck and gave me a bit of advice which was very sweet of her. It is extremely refreshing to work with a wedding vendor who is passionate about weddings and is excited with you, and Karen was just that. She didn't make me feel like just another bride"

We had the pleasure of having Luminous String Quartet perform at our wedding! They did a wonderful job, we couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and the music was exactly how we imagined. We had Karen transcribe a song specifically for our ceremony and it was simply perfect.
