Fitwells Gym

The hours are lacking on weekends and childcare hours are very limited. Also it takes them a long time to fix basic things like heating and air conditioning so it can get uncomfortable. But it's relatively quiet compared to other gyms and it's women's only so that is a bonus if that's what you're looking for. There is a lot of room to workout and also floor space. They don't have some basic equipment if you're serious about weight lifting like no proper squat rack and bench press.. and only one proper barbell that isn't even Olympic sized. It's great for casual gym goers but not hardcore

As the last review states, it's nothing special. Often I will see the same strand of hair sitting on a machine all week, which shows they don't clean as thoroughly as they should. It's also a roulette to pick a cardio machine with a working TV. I keep my membership though, due to the classes and the non-busy and not intimidating environment. It serves its purpose!

They closed down this gym without any notice to members and transferred memberships to another gym that is too fAR for an hour work out in the morning. Perhaps the closure was a result of the changes they made over the years. They had many classes including ones later in the evening. The class schedules only accommodated stay at home moms and retired people. Classy way to close a business but I guess that is what happens when you go under.

They are not even open, do not buy the groupon

extra fees charged for floor activities, opening and closing whenever they want if not enough customers at the gym, uncomfortable feeling to enter gym.

Loved going here but our location closed down so no where to workout now!

Fitwells is still charging my credit card even though I canceled my membership back in october AND paid in full to cancel. I have a membership cancellation saying I owe $0 and a receipt for my final payment but they don't seem to care about that and yet they STILL charge my card without my authorization 3 months after cancellation!!!!! Thank goodness for credit card protection for unauthorized purchases. This is the worst gym and they try and steal money from members that cancel.DON'T GO HERE! EVER!

Worst experience with a gymI bought my wife a 1 month passSo she could try it and decide if it was something she wanted to doWhen I went in and talked to the manager she told me I could just buy the one month and if she wanted to continue afterwards she could just renewI said great and this was exactly what I wanted so I paid the fees on my debit cardShe then said she needed a credit card on file so I gave her an imprint of my card and thought nothing of itWhe my wife went in a few days later they asked her to sign the membership contractBut when she read it it said she needed to give 1 months cancellation notice so she told them she only wanted to do the one month and would not signThey told her ok they will figure it outFor the next week she checked with them every day and they kept just saying it would be fineAt the end of the month we get our credit card bill and they had charged us the next months fees the day after she startedWe thought they had just made a mistake and went to talk to them and get a refundWhich they refused saying that I had signed a contract agreementWhich I do not rememberAnd it's a little funny that they needed her to sign the contract which she refusedDon't know how they can hold me to a contract at a women's only gymI am always extremely busy with work and just have not had the time to try and fight it not that I will get much result as my wife tried with no successBottom line this place is worse than a sleazy car dealershipI would strongly suggest people to be very careful dealing with them as they will try and cheat you out of your money if they can

Well..when i first started coming i noticed the gym was quite dirty and i was getting sick often. I mentioned a few times to manager about seeing the same garbage in machines(bandaids, hairbrushes, tissue etc)for a week ...showing no one staff was cleaning the machines daily. Also i was noticing lots of sweat drops with dust stuck to it on literally every cardio machine. This time i mentioned it to the owner and she said the cleaners were doing a bad job and she was getting rid of them and looking for new ones. I saw the owner personally cleaning things afterwards.During winter months it was below zero tempuratures inside the gym...you could literally see your breath and could not maintain body heat even if your constantly doing cardio. The manager said the heat was broken...then they had it fixed"...however the thermometer was saying -8 while inside the building still. They said the heat was "on" but checking all visible heat vents and zero breeze hot or cold was coming out. People where at first working out in mittens and ear warmers...then the gym was vacant until warmer weather came. Funny thing was that all the staff where so bundled up because they new it was bellow zero inside. I suggested they at least get space heaters to compensate...they did a week later... but a little late.The classes here are great and the only reason i still come other than convienience. However not a single person sanitizes their mats after using them!! I was horrified and confused why the staff was allowing this to happen. Yes their is signes all over gym saying to wipe down all equipment after use...yet still no one does. This not only grossed me out

We'll managed gym, clean, good equipment and reasonable membership fees.
