Interchange Financial Currency Exchange

I've been using them for years whenever I travel and need money exchanged. They always have a better rate than any bank. The service is excellent

My partner called the Brampton branch in the morning after they opened. He first spoke to a representative who did not have the answer. My partner called a second time and asked for a manager. Koren would not transfer him to a manager and wanted to assist us first. She did not have the answer, so she said she would check with head office and get an answer within 2-3 hours, which is a very long time.3 hours later, my partner called the Brampton branch to follow up. He spoke to Ted who provided a solution which involves my partner coming in person to a different branch the next day. However, Ted told him he would not be able to notify that branch in advance about our scenario + solution. Ted advised that my partner would just have to go in, explain the scenario and the branch rep would need to then call head office when Ted will be acting manager to receive confirmation to go ahead with the solution.Shortly after this call with Ted, Koren called my partner to follow up with an update to the conversation they had a few hours earlier. The update did not include the solution Ted provided, but we did not know why. She then put my partner on hold to check and disconnected a few minutes later.Koren did not call back at all to date. 10 minutes passed, so I called the branch to ask to speak to Ted or Koren. Sam refused to give the phone to Ted and was reluctant to provide his own name. Sam's service was not warm, but disappointing and dismissive. Sam made us feel that we are causing an inconvenience by calling again - even though Koren called us, disconnected but never called us back, which is the reason for us reasonably calling back to reconnect with her and follow up the unfinished conversation. Sam never apologized for this inconvenience. He also never apologized for the inconvenience of the 3.5 hour wait to receive an answer from head office today due to the snowstorm. Sam made it known to me that he assumed that we should assume that Koren had not spoken to Ted prior to her calling us with an update that did not align with Ted's solution (the reason for our confusion). It is not reasonable for us to make this kind of assumption or conclusion. It is reasonable for us to call the branch again to follow up after our disconnected call with Koren after receiving an update that did not align with Ted's solution, which caused confusion and a lack of clarity for us. To conclude, our entire phone call with Sam was extremely dismissive and assumptive without apologies for the various inconveniences that were caused today.

This was my first time coming to Interchange Currency exchange, I was immediately greeted by a friendly associate who was very helpful in exchanging my Euros for Canadian dollars. She was polite and professional! I really enjoyed the service provided by Shabnam! I will definitely be back and I will recommend to my friends and family.

I am a very satisfied repeat customer - having bought everything from simple $US to less common currencies like Turkish Lira. The staff are great, the site is easy to use, and a couple of days after ordering the currency, it arrives safely at my door. IFC runs rings around the big banks!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place has the worst customer service ever!!!!! I was unfortunate enough to experience this TERRIBLE service that LACKED customer satisfaction at the Brampton location. There was an older lady that called me over and didn’t even greet me. When I said hi how are you she didn’t reply then I went on mentioning that I ordered currency online and am here to pick it up and showed the confirmation code email. She took a look and didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing. I was hoping to order it online so my currency would be ready and it would save me time. If she was going to do everything on the spot what was the point to pre order the currency? I was so mind boggled. She didn’t even go out of her way to ask me how I want my bills or what I’m looking for. So, I kindly asked if I could have a mix of bills because it’s mainly for tips. This was specifically for Eastern Caribbean dollars which I was told earlier in the day over the phone this location had a lot on hand. Now the lady was giving me mostly large bills. When I explained to her I need a mix of small and large bills, she didn't care to help me out. She said although we have it on hand your not the only customer in the world". I was so shocked and would have walked out that instant if I wasn’t travelling tomorrow. Her colleague then ended up taking over because she didn't want to service me anymore. He ended up trying to accommodate me but was also very careless and dismissive. They both seemed really miserable at their job. He didn't know how to count the money in a professional manner and kept miscounting. Mind you

Wonderful experience. It was a bit busy at lunch time when I attended. Despite the line, the wonderful lady worked hard to kept the line moving quickly and provide fantastic customer service. Highly recommended! You can't beat the rates and service.

Best rate ever!!You don’t have to compare the rates they have got the best rate. I have converted Euro and Turkish Liras in the past. Now, USD they got good price as compared to bank and other currency exchange companies.

Wifey converted CAD to INR here. She called around and IFC gave her the most attractive rate (and believe you me, she did call around).She went in with her online quote and it was honoured. Ann had her out in 10 minutes.Don't know if/ why her experience is vastly different from most reviews here, but she is a happy camper.Get a quick quote online and, if theirs is better, why not give em a chance.Recommend.
