Very unwelcoming experience.Went to the Kits location with my sister the other day and felt incredibly unwelcomed. Only a hello from 1 staff and when my sister asked if the area with the sink was a bathroom, she got a scoff and ‘No. Thats the piercing studio.’I would have wanted to look at the tennis bracelets and perhaps even buy one as I’ve been looking at them online but 0/4 workers there didn't bother to come and ask if I wanted to look at any of the pieces. I will not be coming back or even shopping online as this experience is something I would have not expected in 2023.

The welding that I booked an appointment for was fine. My issue is with customer service and the quality of the jewelry. I bought a ring on 4/12 which I barely wore & knew what the material was made of. What I did not know was that that the piece was going to tarnish in several days. I bought pieces from amazon that is gold vermeil & it has lasted longer that the piece I bought here which is super disappointing since the item was $75 and the amazon piece was less than $20 and it still has not tarnished on me. I reached out to customer service on 4/25, no response. Reached out again on 5/4 and nothing. I also commented on one of their IG posts & still no response. This place is literally trash when it comes to their customer service. Definitely don't recommend.

I've been purchasing MA Jewelry for many years now and have always loved the designs and relatively decent quality of pieces. I've always recommended MA Jewelry to my friends and family.It was my first time visiting the Vancouver boutique today, and I was looking forward to it based on all my positive and welcoming experiences at the original West 6th boutique. The West 6th location was inviting, intimate, and illuminated with natural sunlight. As soon as you walked in, all the sales associates would welcome you. I even bought my made-to-order wedding band there.My plan was to purchase a gift at the West 4th boutique and have it engraved, and amazingly it was during the 25% off sale. I was so excited to see the new space, especially all the architectural and interior design elements. I entered the store but unfortunately, no one welcomed me nor did it feel inviting. Someone was getting welded to my right, there were people busy near the piecing station, and three associates were standing at the point of sale location, one with an iPad. I walked around the boutique until I asked for help after waiting behind the counter top.I was even more disappointed making the trip out the Kits when I explained to the sales associate what I wanted to purchase, because they said weren't offering engraving today. It felt so inconvenient since I had a gift all planned out and came in-person to have it done. Already displeased and wanting to quickly finish my visit, I ended up just purchasing the pendant and necklace anyway, drew a photo of how I wanted it engraved, and then was told that they would call me for pick up once it was completed. It was a very quick transaction that felt very underwhelming as I compare it to my in-store purchases at the West 6th boutique where everyone was so friendly.Although I did end up purchasing what I planned, I left disappointed and dissatisfied because 1) I expected to be able to see the pendant engraved and take it home the same day; 2) no where on the website, social media, notifications did I see engraving was not being offered today; 3) I have to return to the boutique to pick up the item, which is inconvenient when Kits is out of my way; 4) I have had such amazing experiences with MAJ before this one.Unfortunately as I look at social media as well, a lot of influencers seem to be gifted experiences here and have positive things to say, yet, these 'gifts' are not disclosed in their posts. If you are a 'regular' customer, I think it's best to keep expectations lower as service isn't always what it seems on social media.Do I still enjoy MA Jewelery? Yes. I miss their styling videos.Would I recommend to friends and family? For the jewelry, maybe. But there are also competitive brands out there.Would I go back to the boutique? Probably not. Only if I wanted something specific that was out of stock online. I'll likely stick to online purchases for now. I'll have to see what happens once I go pick up my purchase.

I am a long time lover of Melanie Auld jewelry and own several pieces ranging from vermeil to solid gold. All their pieces are gorgeous, unique and well made. Their customer service is sublime. I've purchased jewelry from other popular Canadian brands (Leah Alexandra, Mejuri) and Melanie Auld's customer service surpasses everyone - they promptly reply and solve the issue quickly, whether it be a repair or receiving a wrong item.I will forever be purchasing their beautiful pieces.

My mum bought me a necklace from here and it’s broken TWICE already in under a year. It seems the quality is not very good which is so disappointing considering the price. Pretty sure I won’t be able to return it or get another one either… don’t waste your money :/

The pieces are amazing but the customer service is less than desirable. A consultant that assisted me with the earrings was nice but the lady at the cashier had attitude and literally threw the plastic bag with the earrings onto the counter while dealing with the payment and I was standing in front of her. Very customer-unfriendly"."

Melanie Auld is some of the best quality jewelry; so pretty and affordable! Not to mention the staff at the Vancouver location are absolute gems. I recently placed an order for a birthday present and was worried it wouldn’t show up in time. I contacted the store and Sydney was able to pull some strings and have my order shipped that afternoon!Don’t hesitate if you’re eyeing some pieces. I promise you won’t regret it!

My sister and I got our seconds pierced in 2021 and had an incredible experience and service. Unfortunately, we went to the newer location spring of 2023 and it was the opposite from incredible. We booked an anklet welding service for our girl friends birthday, hoping to share the incredible experience we had received two years prior. The service was poor, the girl doing the welding was nice, but didn’t make us feel warm and fuzzy! Tried to create conversation with the staff and felt judged and rushed. After spending hundreds of dollars the three of us left feeling underwhelmed and slightly disappointed. Will definitely not be going back to the Vancouver studio. Love the jewelry still, and will continue to order online.
