Submissions Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy

I've played on sports teams for as long as I can remember. From soccer to squash to volleyball. I've never felt more part of a team than I do at Submissions BJJ. There is a familial feeling to being on this team that you will notice right away. Other than the completely positive vibe, you get in amazing shape from BJJ in general. Nothing will make you stronger or give you more cardio than BJJ.I would and do recommend this team to anyone and everyone.

Great place for beginners and advanced level martial artists. Everyone is very helpful, friendly and patient. They take the time to work with you and help you to learn and grow.

You would not find a place so dedicated to the art of BJJ. From Professor Peter to coaches like Lee, Ninad, Cory and Derek (children coach) to the other members at every level are very supportive. Myself and my son have been here for a while learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Children learn self discipline, ethics and sense of community which lacks alot in the modern world.

Coach Derek and his team are amazing! The kids are learning valuable life lessons, self discipline and team spirit. We are fortunate to have this facility in our town.

A martial arts academy with a family atmosphere. You will always be taken care of and looked out for if you put some skin in the game with this academy. I started training at submissions back in 2015; everything this team and its affiliates stand for, is true martial arts. I have never felt so at home at another academy, the level of competition and focus is unparalleled.

I was in town and did a drop-in class, Peter, the Professors and all their students were extremely welcoming & professional. This is a top-tier gym with an impressive facility & awesome people.Overall a fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone at this establishment. BJJ at it’s finest

Good technical Bjj teachings. With that said, I just ended both my kids memberships after only one month of joining the academy. I have 8 year old twins and they absolutely love Bjj. They’ve been training since they were 5 years of age, however unfortunately it only took them 1 month in this academy to start to hate the sport. Despite the good technical training they received here, it was emotionally traumatising for them. The coaches there repeatedly shoved, yelled at and name called my kids for innocent mistakes any 8 year old would do. It is as though the trainers take pleasure in insulting Kids in the class( claiming that they’re teaching them discipline) but I think it’s absolute bullying. After complaining to the owner via email I received a reply with a refund and no apology. They didn’t even address my concerns as a client or as a parent. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic environment for learning and having fun. The instructors and training partners are genuine and make an effort to welcome you and introduce you to everyone.

Exceptional instruction by Professor Peter Constantine and the gang. Pete is a highly motivating figure who loves BJJ and leads by example in all that he does. The facility is great and members are respectful and skilled. Highly recommended to those who want quality instruction in BJJ.
