Hakim Optical St. Laurent Mall

The quality is extremely poor for the price. After less than a year my lens fell out and chipped. Hakim would only replace it for a 30% discount. Had the glasses less than a year. Do yourself a favour, order online you can have an entirely new pair of glasses for less than I would have paid to replace 1 lens that broke because the glasses are of poor quality. Dont bother.

Very incompetent staff. Many don't know alot about glasses or customer care. We left Very dissatisfied and out of pocket for a very expensive pair of glasses we didn't really need they only recommended due to our insurance program. Hopefully this review helps people stay away from anything that is not food at a food court at the mall

Gives you the time to browse and Optometrist even selected pairs of glasses that she thought were a good choice and I ended up going with her selection. Great price and ended up with two pairs. I cannot wait until they are in. Staff are friendly and not pushy. Loved this store!

These people have been in the business so long that they no longer care about your eyes, they only care about money. Until recently I went to them to get my glasses only to find out that I've been wearing the wrong lenses for the past couple of years. My eyes were a mess every time I put them on. I recently got my eyes checked and my glasses at Nuvu Optical and thankfully they knew what they were doing. Now I can see a lot better. One of my lenses on my other glasses was so far from my vision that I thought that I got somebody else's glasses stay away from Hakim optical unless you want to go blind.

We went there today to buy glasses and were look after hwaida, she is amazing and was very nice. She gave us a very good customer service and made us feel welcomed. We will definitely be going to this location in future.

Don’t go here if you want competent people who pay attention or know what they are doing. I got my glasses here and they put the incorrect prescription in my glasses and I had to drive with it and notice myself and fight them to fix it to be correct. Stay away and go to bon look in Bayshore it’s way better. These people at Hakim are amateur.

If I could give my experience 100 stars I would. Hwaida and Lily were so kind, welcoming, resourceful and patient. Their warm smiles and gentle approach was what made my experience with Hakim Optical amazing. I will recommend this branch to all my friends and family from now. Thank you again ladies!

during my very first visit at Hakim I was met by this very informative woman of a very friendly nature that I noticed were among the other workers at the time, I was there to produce an ODSP (Ontario DisasabilitySupport Program) form which would enable me to perhaps get a pair of much needed glasses, however this was all just a very misinformation in my personal experience because this particular Hakim employee at the time didn't at all try to help me what so ever as I have disabilities of hearing and a leg this in itself would of , I thought have given me some sort of avenue of assistance however this employee only just basically threw 3 boxes of eye wear glasses that she did not in any way give me another option of perhaps myself paying for another pair of eye wear glasses that would of made me more comfortable. I felt that I was treated in a very unprofessional way and thus my future of shopping at this particular Hakim at the St. Laurent mall will no longer be on my wanting to do. I am sorry but I did not feel at all welcome just yesterday a month after going to pick out these ridiculous frames I wasn't called , emailed, or alerted in any way , ONE MONTH AND I WAS NOT NOTIFIED IN ANY WAY EVEN though this particular retailer Hakim at St. Laurent mall was I thought friendly It was not and isn't to particular individuals of aboriginal decent. I would like to mention that this particular employee was first at the Rideau Center , where they had a Hakim.

My glasses were almost bent beyond repair and I needed a new wire for a lens. Buddy fixed them for $10 in under an hour. Definitely recommend if you purchased your glasses there, otherwise you might have trouble.

I'd give them less than 0 if I could. You pay less, so you get less in the way of service and reliable product. They held on to my glasses (the frame had broken) for three months during the period when the stores were closed due to Covid-19. Finally, they called to say that the frame my lenses were in is no longer available. Their customer service is utter garbage and I strongly recommend that no one do business with them - ever. Note that two Hakim locations - at 150 Montreal Rd. and on Rideau St. are long gone - and that should have been my strongest clue to be wary of them. I've been using old glasses now for over three months, but they are virtually unusable for reading (Hakim never expressed any sympathy for that). Now, I'll have to wait for my next optometrist appointment to get a new prescription, after which I'll deal with an optical store that clearly knows what it's doing and also has a clear understanding of what good customer service really means.
