I have adopted two kitten's from here thru Palmac's Petvalue. I adopted them a year apart at approx. the same age. Cost of adopting included first shots and spay/neutering. First one was a street kitten, second was from a home litter. Two years have gone by and they are both loving pets that have bonded completely. Would highly recommend.

We've gotten our last 3 kittens there. They have a foster program where the newborns stay with a family to be litter trained and get used to other animals and people. The kittens get their shots. Their prices are very reasonable and they follow up when an animal is adopted. Their facility is well kept and has plenty of space for the animals to mingle at times.

A stray cat and her kittens were found under our porch; one with an obvious injury/deformity. We contacted PTBOHS first, since they are closest to us and they flat out refused to help the kittens (even if we brought them in ourselves). We are so thankful that Northumberland HS was willing to take the kittens in and get them the help they needed. The people there are amazing and are doing such great work! It's clear they all care about the animals so much.

Am sorry but I tried to adopt a dog from them ..I have a older dashund that at the time he was the only one so I did not get him fixed I have a fence in yard he as never been bred but because of that they send me a email saying no because am a irresponsible pet owner and I was the problem why so many dogs are the in shelter I was shocked all the pets I have owned in the past where fixed so and not inpresse with the way they do things

I cannot say enough about the staff and this place, I live in hastings and reached out to every animal service around here that could help me with a mom and her babies that had no where to go, they were living under my neighbors trailer. I had to find somebody to take these babies and mom. I managed to get the mom to trust me enough to let me pet her and she would rub up against my legs when I went out I went out with food. I found this group of awesome people and I reached out to them and they were the mom and kitties savior. Thank you so much to all of you, you were awesome and I will do what I can to help support you all.

Wonderful place to adopt a a fur baby. I had to take my Louise in if your looking for a beautiful cat she lives to cuddle have her belly rubbed. Staff is very nice and care.

The staff at this shelter are amazing - they are so supportive and helpful. They were such a pleasure to deal with when we adopted our 2 cats. They go above and beyond and take wonderful care of the animals. I would recommend them highly - it was a great experience!
