Rainbow Chan Weddings

Thank you so much for planning our special day, Rainbow! She was an absolute gem to work with and made our wedding better than we ever could have imagined! We were going through so many ideas together and went from planning a big wedding to eventually changing our minds to creating an intimate one. We would not have had it any other way. She helped us through the entire process and gave us the confidence we needed during the day off as it could not have gone smoother! While being in communication with Rainbow and her team, we found that not only was she super organized and professional, she was also just the sweetest and kindest person we've met! I appreciated that Rainbow regularly checked in with myself and the groom and our families to make sure everything was okay. She was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend her and her team to anyone who wants a stress free day!So thankful to have shared this day with you, thank you again!

My now husband and I decided to look into booking a wedding planner after finding the whole process very overwhelming. When we met with Rainbow, we knew that we had found the right person for us. She broke down the entire process for us in a very seamless and logical way. She was so helpful in determining vendor selection (she has an extensive and varied list of contacts) and sharing spreadsheets so that we could easily keep track of our expenses and make decisions that corresponded with our wedding prep timeline.The day of, she was excellent. My main concern was being stressed and she co-ordinated everything so perfectly that I did not feel stressed at all (as a type A person, who needs control over and knowledge about everything as it's happening, that's saying a lot). I felt completely comfortable handing over control to Rainbow so that I could relax and fully soak in the memories of the day.I would highly recommend Rainbow and her team to anyone who is looking for a wedding planner.

We were very unsure of what we were getting ourselves into with our planning process and being designers ourselves, we knew we wanted to capture and balance 2 very important things:1. an aesthetic and creative look and feel2. an organized and guest-focused eventOur search for a planner was more than someone who can just tie our event together from an operations POV but someone who can help us set a creative and dreamy vision and bring that to life with the appropriate connections and resources. Rainbow was our person. She has a meticulous and keen eye for design which we knew would pair well with our needs - her portfolio and work all exemplify her attention to detail and knack for truly creative and unique wedding design (this balance isn't easy to find!!!).Aside from Rainbow's creative and decor services, she provided us month-of and day of services. I am so so so confident to say that my last month of wedding planning was my least stressful time during the planning process. To add, the day of my wedding felt like I was a guest to my own wedding as I didn't have a thing to worry about. Rainbow took the reigns to take so much off our plates. Prior to the event, she lead all communication with our vendors to ensure the day proceeds with clarity and organization. Rainbow led the day by managing the itinerary and all vendors in addition to leading the whole crew to bring the event together across getting ready, photos, tea ceremony, wedding ceremony, reception and tear down. She made herself available despite a truly busy wedding season and provided us the resources and advice to make confident decisions to best align with our vision.You're in good hands with Rainbow and her team - trust us!

Oh my word, Rainbow Chan is an angel! We had a destination wedding, and hired Rainbow to assist with our three biggest challenges (Entertainment, Florals/Decor, and Photography.)Rainbow has an exceptional network in Toronto. We recognized immediately that her industry peers truly enjoy working with her. Planning a wedding in another country was difficult initially, but once we pulled Rainbow in, things were smooth and convenient.Rainbow helped with everything, big or small. She is such a team player, too. As we traveled for the wedding, there were certain things that Rainbow and I had to tag-team or problem-solve together (decorations, signage, international payments, etc.) Rainbow never made us feel like a burden to her. Instead, she collaborated with us to make our vision a reality.It was such a pleasure working with you, Rainbow! This was the best weekend ever. I hope you can visit Texas one day so we may show you the same hospitality.Thank you for everything!!

Rainbow was a superb planner - very well organized, extremely professional, and always thinking of little details that I would never have thought of myself. Our wedding day would truly have not gone as seamlessly as it did without Rainbow's guidance. She directed everyone at the rehearsal and tea ceremony, as well as helping me change, adjust my veil, decorate the venue, and keep us on schedule. Rainbow was our number one advocate and worked with us tirelessly to ensure our vision was executed to perfection. There are also probably a million behind the scenes things Rainbow took care of without my knowing, anyone would be lucky to have Rainbow as their planner!

Edit Feb 2023: I understand that Ms. Chan or someone working on her behalf replied to my initial review.The refund “offered” November 22, 2022 is disguised was “buying me off”. It was conditional upon the removal of my Google and Wedding Wire reviews. Ms. Chan's lack of professionalism is so upsetting that I had all further communication forwarded to my fiancé.Ms. Chan's partner reach out early December and offered to plan the remainder of the wedding. I declined as my wedding was fully planned by then.If Ms. Chan is indeed apologetic for how she handled my wedding and for the stress that she caused me, I suggest going forward she revise her presented timeline and re-evaluate how much business she can reasonably take on to prevent putting other couples through this ordeal.TL;DR if you plan on going with Rainbow Chan, I would highly suggest you have the patience to monitor her throughout the planning process like you would a new-hire.My fiancé and I hired Rainbow early May 2022 for full planning for our wedding. She was polite and confident in her work, so we signed with her within the week. Other than the discrepancy in names on the contract, everything looked good, and she provided us a Google spreadsheet with all the planning details telling us it would be updated as planning proceeded. This spreadsheet included dates and target deadlines (more details later).Rainbow then helped us secure a venue, directed us to a photo/videographer, and guided the conversation for us at our request, however, beyond that is when the issues started happening. Upon a large discrepancy in pricing on the contract with the videographer, it took Rainbow 6 days of follow up emails to get a reply. Understandably due to the many weddings she has this was counted as a one-off. However, the same tardiness recurred while booking our makeup artist; when trying to confirm details and deposit requirements it took Rainbow multiple days and constant follow ups to even get a reply from her.During our emails about the makeup artist, we also spoke to Rainbow about the theme/color/inspo for the wedding. We scheduled the meeting beginning of August for near end of the month (3.5 weeks out), which was late compared to what her stated schedule was. When she cancelled our theme meeting due to a last-minute rehearsal, I was annoyed but understood that someone had an earlier wedding than mine, and at this point reached out to the makeup vendor myself to get answers that still weren’t given to me.The last straw was when I reached out and scheduled floral vendor meetings myself early September. I was informed by her that the theme/inspiration board was not complete although she had a month to make it along with me sending images/colors back in early August. This honestly gave me the wake-up call that she was not giving me what was promised in the contract. I had been stressed out over this whole wedding and was instead doing the planning myself because Rainbow couldn’t keep to her own timelines. Any communication I wanted from her required follow-up emails, and I didn’t want to have to spend the remaining time before my wedding worried if Rainbow was going to pull through on her end or not. I pulled the plug in late September and terminated our agreement with 5 days’ notice as per our contract. I ended up creating my own inspo/mood board in the span of an hour out of anger and proceeded to plan the rest of my wedding in the next 4 weeks with the same motivation.The full planning wedding package includes unlimited in-person/phone calls/ email consultations, but the quality of the communication is poor. Rainbow is well-mannered and attentive on the phone, but you will need to initiate follow up emails and start the process for finding the next vendor yourself. I won’t say that I could give her zero stars if I could; she deserves at least one star for being well-mannered and for inspiring me to plan my wedding on my own out of pure anger.

My husband and I worked with Rainbow for the last year and a half and we will for sure miss her & the team! The day after we got engaged, we had already reached out to Rainbow to start the planning process of our wedding.Rainbow provided excellent service for our wedding in June 2022. Her and the team were professional, friendly, and so efficient.We received so many compliments from our guests, as well as the venue we were at that the planning was so smooth and organized.Over the past year and a half of working with Rainbow, she made herself very accessible to contact and never made us feel like we were a bother at all. She always put us at ease with everything and it felt so comforting to know that things will be taken care of.The day of the wedding was such a breeze. She was so organized and literally everything went according to plan. I couldn’t have asked for a better day and I know a big reason for that was Rainbow was my planner. If you want a smooth, efficient, organized process then I highly recommend Rainbow!Thanks so much Rainbow & the team!

It would have been impossible to do this wedding without Rainbow and her team! We hired Rainbow as our month of coordinator and she did an amazing job. She took over communication with our vendors, created an insanely detailed itinerary for us and ensured that our wedding went smoothly. During the day of, Rainbows team made sure to make our vision come to life. Our planner did an awesome job to ensure we were following schedule, made any adjustments as needed and that I had peace of mind. I would 1000% recommend them.

Rainbow is fantastic. We reached out to her in 2021 and she worked with us for 529 days to plan our wedding exactly as we had hoped (and better than we could've imagined). Rainbow is extremely organized, possesses amazing vision, and has a solid reputation within the industry (i.e. lots of vendor contacts!). Leading up to the wedding, she found and coordinated all of our vendors. On the day of the rehearsal and wedding, she and her team (Mirabel and Lorraine) made the day so seamlessly smooth. All of our guests were shocked that a wedding day could go according to plan. Rainbow is just that good!! Would recommend Rainbow to anyone that needs a wedding planner.

Rainbow is like a ninja on the day of, taking care of all the important day-of duties that make your wedding run smoothly.One thing I will note to have been the biggest asset and of utmost importance: her roster of incredibly talented contacts. She really knows all the right people to make the aesthetic of your wedding ooze elegance and sophistication.Her experience in wedding flow, in ceremony logistics, and overall wedding planning was depicted in the special experience we are a couple and our guests experienced. I can surely say that our wedding was not only unique, it is a wedding that you cannot replicate.Thank you for everything Rainbow!
