One thing I gotta say is that I am almost 100% certain all the 5 star reviews on here are faked, probably by somebody connected to Accurate Transmissions. I am making this review because, other than the one star reviews on here, nobody has an actual, genuine-person review up here that is favourable. (the fake 5 star reviews are of course favourable)Pretty good experience overall. Got burned buying a 2000 4x4 2dr Red Ford Explorer that had a transmission failure on the drive home. 100% sure the previous owner knew about the imminent transmission failure, he got to unload a non-functional vehicle on me for $2000.Accurate cost me $3300 all told with all the taxes and etc. to get a rebuilt tranny, 18 month warranty with an optional $300 3 year warranty that I might or might not do. They had to put in a cooling system so that made the cost a bit more. They took a lot longer than they said they would and gave 2 done-by dates that werent met, but it didnt really matter to me because I was under no time pressure to have it on the road.Basically the tranny of a vehicle breaking down SUCKS, it is such an expensive job that usually it's cheaper to just sell your vehicle for parts and get another (used) vehicle, but my Ford Explorer has all the options of its model year and is a really nice vehicle so I just sprung for this tranny job.Matt was the guy who did the work and talked me through what was going on and etc. and he's a really great guy, the reception lady and the other tranny mechanics are good people too. Accurate is an honest shop and a good place to take your vehicle for a tranny, but If I could have done it over I would have shopped around more, I got a quote (after it was too late to go back) on pretty much the same job for $2600 with a 3 year warranty.Im giving 4 stars because other than the cost and the waiting its good. The vehicle runs fine now like it's supposed to, that's all I wanted from them and that's what I got.

They came in below their quote and did a great job on my sealed transmission. James was very helpful. Great job. I'm definitely going to reccomend these guys. Its hard to find honesty in the automotive industry.

My jeep needed a new transfer case. Runs like new again.I have to say that James went above and beyond to help accommodate me while it was in repairs. Top notch customer service. Highly recommend :)

Matt and his Staff did a great Job getting my truck back on the road. Super happy with the full rebuild on my transmission and the additional upgrades. I would recommend them for any mechanical or transmission work.

I went to my normal mechanic and was told my Transmission fluid was black & burning and needed to be replaced. I wanted to make sure it was done right so I went to Accurate Transmissions. They knew what they were doing, explained things properly and took care of my Ford Escape. Very friendly staff, good prices, I will defiantly be going back for all my Transmission and car needs. I am very disappointed in this place. I have used them multiple times over the years and they have been great but this last time was just a nightmare. I dropped off my 1980 Malibu about a month ago for a rear end job. I did receive a quote very quick. Unfortunately the parts pricing was outrageous. I was quoted over $1500.00 for a carrier I knew was 695-895. Total parts pricing was almost $3000.00. Long story short I Sourced my own parts. Within and hour picked them up at a total of $1439.00. I questions Matt on the pricing and he assured me he only marked it up a reasonable amount. Clearly that was not true. the minute I dropped the parts off I sourced he has an attitude with me. Before we had a great business relationship. That is long gone. It was like a switch flipped. Needless to say I was given two separate dates the car would be finished. both dead lines passed without a call or update. There was no urgency given to this repair after that. They noticed the water pump needed to be replaced which I approved them to do. They also mentioned other small issue that I declined. I pick up my car and drove it home and the temperature gauge on the dash did not work. It did work when I dropped the car off. Also my stereo would not turn on which I had no issue with before I dropped it off. when I called about the temperature sensor Matt mentioned that the sensor was broken on top of the rad hose which was never mentioned to me. I asked how he tested the water pump and cooling system temp and he said via a laser. You would think if a shop was replacing your thermostat, gasket and water pump you would also mentions the sensor was not working? This goes to show how little care was really given to this job. James was great through this whole process but due to Matt's attitude it will assure I never go there again. I will be taking it to another shop around the corner who is always respectful and honest. Not only have they lost a customer but I will never refer any friend or family to come here. Literally 13 hours of labour. 4 weeks to finish! picture attached of the broken off temp sensor right next to the new thermostat housing they replaced... and rad hose they re attached to it. High quality work they do eh?

Had some urgent brake issues and they got me in this guy away. Had some model specific issues which they went above and beyond to accommodate. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Didn't cut corners and good value.

I recently purchased a remanufactured transmission here and it was a good experience. I live 1100 kms north of Accurate Transmission, found their website online, corresponded with Matt, the owner, and purchased a transmission from them. The price (including shipping) was over $400 cheaper than the next best quote (and $2,200 cheaper than the dealership's quote). The transmission was shipped promptly, arrived in perfect condition, even included a can of some kind of shop supply required for installation. It is now installed and running perfectly. I am very happy with my experience with Accurate Transmission and would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a remanufactured transmission.

WORST WORST service ever. my transmission service light came on which protected the gear changes.I called these guys at Accurate and they said they can fix it. these guys had no idea what the problem was. these guys first rebuilt the transmission and then changed the TCM computer. the problem was still there and was not fixed. Accurate transmission charged me more than $6,000 and did not even fix the problem. my truck was at their shop for almost a month. they gave me such a run around. every day I called them and they said they are working on it. almost one month. I finally took my truck to another diesel shop where I paid $1,700 and it was fixed within a day. the problem was only with the wiring and these guys at Accurate had no idea what they were dealing with. accurate charged me so much for something they did not even fix. worst experience. should be zero star.

I service my truck at Accurate on a regular basis. Matt and James are always super helpful in keeping me informed about the status of my truck and minimizing downtime. Accurate is a top notch full service shop and I would recommend to anyone looking for quality work.
