Came here the other day after a quick “best gluten-free restaurants toronto” google search and boy was google right! Best gluten-free indeed! I’ve recently discovered I am very gluten intolerant and decided to make it my mission to find great GF eats around the city and WOW this spot knocks it out of the park! Pescatarian-forward menu with focus on flavour & texture! As someone who has not eaten a ton of GF foods, I can say these dishes blew my mind. I was expecting to come in and be able to “taste the difference” and have it “be yummy for GF” but every dish is exceptional in general! Every item holds its own! I ordered the cauliflower bites, crab cakes and the fish & chips! Everything was hot and fresh and sooo flavourful! I have no doubts that someone who isn’t GF would love this spot and truly, I’m not sure they’d be able to tell the difference! Batter on the fish and chips was crispy and delicious without being dry & crumbly! Fish was fresh and tender and cooked just right. Crab cakes were the highlight for me! I love crab cakes and these were absolutely fantastic! Just divine. Cauliflower bites were also superb (I opted for the Asian glaze as recommended by Chad); I wish i’d eaten less of them and saved more room for my main and a dessert! (Too full for dessert this time… Maybe next!) The food was exceptional, every item I ate was delicious and Chad is an out-of-this-world host—so friendly, so outgoing and so hospitable! He explained the menu and some popular items and made recommendations, he also explained each dish as it came out and ensured my experience was nothing short of wonderful! The food is unreal and the hospitality makes it even better!! I truly cannot wait to come back and wow my friends with this spot! Keep up the amazing work and keep doing what you’re doin! You guys are amazing, thank you for a wonderful experience! 10/10 would absolutely recommend and I’ll be back! :)

Anglr definitely got me hook, line and sinker. Great quality seafood expertly cooked at reasonable prices.Went here for dinner and got:- Crab Cakes: My favourite dish of the night. Nice crisp on the outside, with tender and tasty crabmeat on the inside. Also definitely not a lot of filler here.- Cauliflower Bites: Huge cauliflower in a crackling coating. The star though was the vegan garlic aioli.- Shrimp Dumplings: Plump shrimp, good sear on the skin.- Tacos: Got the grilled haddock and grilled calamari. Good amount of seafood, floppy tortilla, would have wanted a bit more kick.Service is super friendly and efficient. They are also very particular about dietary restrictions, so huge bonus points for that. We sat at the patio on a nice sunny day which added to the experience. Will definitely be back!

Was here with a friend for the first time. The dishes plus the service was impeccable. The back patio just opened and the owner graciously took care of us and made the experience even better! We ordered the cauliflower bites, fish and chips and the tacos (shrimp & Halibut) - all of the options were delicious. Great atmosphere, amazing staff and location . Would definitely visit again!!!

Another gem in the east end with the cutest hidden back patio. The waiter was one of the friendliest I’ve met and his recommendation on the fish and chips did not disappoint. Go hungry. The portions are generous.

Such a great spot with the cutest hidden patio in the back. Chad (one of the owners) was serving us and was so attentive and personable. He recommended the cauliflower bites, which were SO good. I usually find that cauliflower bites tend to be pretty small. But these were so plump and crispy, which came with a sweet but not too sweet Korean glaze. It was also on top of a creamy sauce of some sort to balance out any of the sweetness. I also got three tacos: grilled halibut, fried calamari and the fried shrimp. They were all cooked perfectly, however the calamari one was definitely my favourite. I do wish the tacos could have a bit of variation in the toppings, but that would be my only note! My friend got the lamb burger and sweet potato fries. I didn’t try her burger but she ate it all so I can only assume it was yummy. I definitely snuck a few of her fries and they were fried perfectly. They also have some local beers on tap which is fun!Next time I will definitely have to try their fish and chips.Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area who wants great food with just as great customer service.*they also have great gluten free options as well*

This is why we eat out! What an incredible seafood meal. My partner and I shared the calamari to start, which was so fresh. It was a huge portion, and the red pepper sauce underneath added some flair and flavour, too. We followed this with fish and chips and a Caesar salad. Delicious. We’re from England and you can’t get fish this good back home. The only thing better than the food was the service. Chad and his team were the perfect hosts - knowledgeable, attentive and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back!

Came here on a cold Sunday night for fish and chips. Didn't realize until later that the owner was the same owner of Off the Hook on Broadview. Service: Prompt! And friendly...ordered and got food in under 15min. Only option for fish was haddock. Fish was moist, batter was seasoned. Chips were hot and spiced well. Wish they had more options for fish. Also had onion rings which were large Spanish red onions (thick but some people might not like them), well spiced. Coleslaw was a good balance of creamy and vinaigrette, despite I usually don't like coleslaw. Tables include booths and tables. The women's washroom was cute and decorated with a mix of pictures and things about bathrooms (nice touch and homey feel). Snuck a peek at the men's, not as decorated, but probably not needed. I liked the chalkboard highlighting the specials, feels like a real fish a chips place. Happy that the owner has a bigger place to continue the fish and chips tradition. Nice for the neighborhood. Cost: $20 ish for fish and chips. Overall: Will return, please give more fish options. Will want to try the other options, such as fish burrito, shrimp burger, hot sauce....so many for all fish and shellfish lovers.
