Amazing experience here. My own room for myself and child, structured classes but plenty of free time. Trauma counselling plus regular counsellors. Some staff stricter than others but you figure that out pretty quick. Never thought I would like sewing but now I’ve made 2 quilts! Plus learning the guitar! And staying in shape with the on site gym. Daycare is amazing for my child and of course the very intensive course material. This place is great if your ready and willing. Here’s to sobriety

Peardonville Treatment Centre was an amazing experience for myself and my 2 year old.I recently attended the 70 day, intensive program and graduated on Aug.6/2019. All of the staff were wonderful, the daycare cared for my daughter while I was in class, and she loved all of the ladies.I learned so much about myself during the time I spent at this treatment facility,Before going, I was full of fear and had no hope for myself to ever get better. Today I am a grateful, recovering addict/alcoholic, and I owe many thanks to Peardonville. The other girls whom attended the facility were also amazing, they were supportive and friendly when I first arrived, and towards the end of my stay, I was happy to help the new comers settle in.I would definitely recommend Peardonville as a place to start your beautiful road to recovery...

I came to peardonville in 2011. It was a amazing experience and loved it even though I was only there 1/2 the time and ended getting kicked out for holding my own allergy pills which is my own fault considering I can’t hold any medicine. During the day when the women are in the programs a lady goes around and goes through your personal stuff. What can I say we were addicts and untrustworthy at that point. I wanted to be sober so badly and get my kid back that I managed to stay sober after this anyway even thought I was only there half the time but it was a good program

Staff were accommodating with our family member at first to get her there. Then things changed as soon as she got there. Very rigid and non communicative. They give weekend passes very shortly into clients stays even if they are not from the area. The programming is subpar and relapse rates appear very high for clients who attend here (from speaking with other families and former attendees)Publicly funded treatment needs to be more accountable to the clients they serve rather than rigid and dated policy and programs

I went in summer of 2017. While I was angry and temperamental, I was in early recovery as most people are when they get there. A woman threatened me physically, and when I told staff, they talked to her and found out I threatened her too" by telling her I would go to staff. At that point

I need to open with..... if you're suffering this place Can help you. Not enough women actually file complaints about what's wrong so therefore it will take time to see change..I was there for 48 hours. They put me on a chore called condiments. I have my food safe so I had to do a thorough job. Took me over an hour just to clean one refrigerator filled with condiments. The Mayo condiments were definitely old and nothing was dated.. i asked too many questions in class that the teacher couldn't answer. They were teaching CBT. We need these places I don't want to Discourage people from going. It sucks that people with addictions are treated as sub human. The staff is overworked and probably underpaid. Because of this they are irritable cranky and bossy and rude. I felt dismissed, devalued and unheard.

To be honest my low review comes from my experience with one counsellor there. All the other staff was a pleasure. This counsellor should not be in her position and is a bully to say the least. She doesn’t do her job. The website states you will get one on one counselling and with her, you do not. 15 mins 1 per week is all you will get. And it’s only a basic homework review. I wish I could give this place higher points based on other aspects but this is such an important part of the treatment/recovery process and it’s actually detrimental.
