Many of the employees don’t care about people, just there for a paycheck and it’s obvious.They close before the designated time for cleanup. So even if it’s 20mins yes before close they’ll say you can’t use computers or get help.

WorkBC (Abbotsford) played a huge part on helping me switch careers after a medical condition diagnosis derailed my two decade career path and left me trying to figure out where to start. The receptionist was friendly and informative when I called. The staff were very helpful and understanding. I didn’t feel judge at all. Not everything was easy and falling into place. There were “hiccups”, but the staff were amazing at handling the “hiccups”. The end result was funding to go back to school , which has completed and now I have a great job! I wouldn’t have ever been able to go back to school on my own, the funding to better my career has been life changing. I highly recommend checking out WorkBC.

WorkBC Abbotsford is an excellent resource that helps newcomers. The staff are friendly and kind. Tinu Thomas, who guided me from the start, is one of the staff who helped me . She is very understanding, come , kind, and very helpful.

I have just started here, I have a brain injury, & I'm sure that I'm not the only one, but this website is very unfriendly to use, staff are great, but this society should FIRE the website developer

I feel like I wasn't helped when I went there. I did everything I was asked of and did it asap. I spent hours upon hours of my time for getting school funding and it never went anywhere. Grace was not helpful at all. Did useless emailing to companies to get letters about the course I wanted to take and googling the companies. She was more annoyed at me then anything. She kept trying to get rid of me and close my file. I even called and asked for a supervisor that went no where as well. I called the Langley office and got way more help and I'm not sure if it's a racial thing at the Abbotsford office or not but I felt like I was treated badly and ignored. Pushing me on courses I wasn't really interested in so she didn't have to fill out the ei paperwork. Not like anyone cares but nice to let other ppl know that this place doesn't help you. I hope I dont get a fake we are so sorry we will never do anything about not helping ppl.

Contrary to the bad reviews, my experience was great! Sam was super thorough, easy to talk to, friendly and tremendously helped me out with finding funding for school.She went above and beyond by sharing her person experience in the field I'm interested in, and was super nice.My husband and I are also visibly queer, and are not always treated great because of that- wasn't the case here though! I give it my lgbtq+ stamp of approval♡We are also both on disability, and were given tips and advice about how to keep our funding whilst still receiving financial help from WorkBC. 10/10

I was at Workbc this morning ( July 2) when I overhead a man asking if there was any financial assistance he could receive. I could tell by his accent and what was said that this man was a new emigrant from Ukraine. The staff that was on said ,No, because he had already worked for two months, so they could not help him. I’m surprised they did not recommend another place for him to possibly receive what he is looking for, but instead sent him on his way. Poor guy.Also, I get that not everyone is having a good day, but seriously some of the staff need to be a bit more friendly. We’re all just trying to either find work, or update resumes. And some people deal with disabilities that make stuff like this overwhelming. Hence, the help from the staff would be appreciated!
