Ladyship, formerly known as Oyster Harbour, was established on June 3, 1904, by James Dunsmuir, a statesperson and a revered industrialist, when he served as British Columbia's Premier.Ladysmith features a thriving timber, agriculture, and tourism industry. Its famous Ladysmith Black Mambazo group is known worldwide. Paddling enthusiasts can indulge in stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, and kayaking while refreshingly dipping in the Salish Sea. Great marina. Grest service. We have had our boat there for 7 years. Even though the staff has turned over and they do not know us, it is still 5 star service. Thank you Oak Bay Marine for being so professional and thank you to the staff for caring about your job!

Amazing location, a real community feel. Marina staff are nearly psychic with addressing concerns.

Nice docks and many new boathouses. A very long walk to the washroom. Primary washrooms are closed due to plumbing problems. Secondary single user washrooms not suitable for a marina with hundreds of slips. No services nearby. Mice running on the dock where we were berthed.

Beautiful, very well managed marina. Friendly, helpful staff and always clean facilities. The only negative is the mill right next door, but that's not the fault of the marina.

After my extremely positive experiences at OBMG's other two marinas in the last week, this one was a massive disappointment. There are no amenities whatsoever and no transit service to get you to amenities. The office has remarkably short hours, and as you need a fob to get in or out (doesn't seem very fire safe), arriving after hours is not an option. The shower (singular) and bathroom onsite, along with being a trudge uphill through shadeless, dusty gravel parking lot, are unsanitary and ancient.There is only one shower for the whole marina in each bathroom, and if someone else comes in to use the washroom, they'll turn out the light on you. It baffles me how OBMG can justify charging for the shower (singular) when it is kept in such abysmal condition - pools of standing water on a floor with no drain, moldy shower curtain, moldy caulking around the shower, clumps of hair fused to the wall indicating no regular cleaning, and electrical baseboard heaters in puddles of water. Overall, I would avoid this marina. OBMG, you can do better. Your other marinas are gems. This one feels like a forgotten backwater.

Went here because the boat slip is in this marina. Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming.
