Always loved going to this place. This is by far the best restaurant in Winnipeg to go to for sushi or ramen. Their 'Aburi Salmon & Unagi Oshi' is definitely a must-try, this is my top favourite in addition to the Salmon Poke bowl, Sunrise roll, Black forest roll, takoyaki, lovely salmon roll, tropical roll and so many more! Their house tea would also be a great complement to everything.

Quiet, big menu to order from, and attentive staff! The price might seem a little high at first glance, but the quality is worth it, especially the pressed sushi! Been ordering out and dining in for years, and I can't believe I didn't make a review of this place sooner!

Food was good, service was friendly. This is the place we often order delivery from in stvital because it’s exactly that- good and close. The house wine was terrible but was forgiven by the delicious tempura shrimp, rolls and sashimi we had. Great little spot!

I wanted to try out some of my favs.....very greasy tempura and the calamari was these tiny little pieces and a ton of batter, the 4th pic is all the extra batter and it was sitting in a pool of oil. The Eel was very fishy....Ive had better non greasy tempura other places.

We love all what we've ordered.(Tonkatsu Ramen, Beef Teriyaki Bowl, Blossom Roll, Oyster Tempura, Takoyaki)It's really true that their sushi rolls are the best! We'll try other signature rolls next time.If you're looking for a nice place to eat Japanese food, Sushi Gozen is the place to be.

Food was good. I enjoyed the Aburi Salmon and Unagi Oshi best. It was a good amount to share and the torched topping just melts in your mouth. I really like torched fish on my sushi and they offer plenty of options to choose from.Service was okay. The servers were nice and attentive. It did take a while for them to take our order but the menu was big so it gave us a lot of time to really read everything haha. Unfortunately, a few of our first choices, we were told were out of stock.Atmosphere was good. Moodier lighting and quiet when we came in at 7pm. Decent place for a casual date.

Went on a working day for lunch. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly.Make sure to call before you go if you are going on the weekends, we were never able to get in on weekends when the mall was packed with people.

Friendly staff, good food, nice place and fair price for the taste and the quality of the food. The Rolls are my favourite. This is my first time coming here. And the experience was good! Especially when you eat there with good friends!
