Bowman Landscaping and Excavation

I received a price for snow plowing and almost fall off my seat. Over 4 times the price of everyone else. Guy that came out was someone named Nick. I got a lecture from him about hiring the right guy.

I regret hiring Bowman because the work was very expensive and not well done. There were problems from the start, with resistance and delays in quoting the job, starting work and completing the job. The contractor didn't show up for days in the middle of the job, with no notice.Communication was not always effective, honest or respectful. Decision making showed poor judgement and planning. So many mistakes were made in the landscaping that I will have to hire another contractor to rip it all out and start over to fix it.The contractor did not follow instructions and chose to do a lot of expensive backhoe work and dump expensive loads of materials where they weren't wanted. He failed to add enough topsoil for the lawn, leaving some areas with only an inch of soil over sand. The soil introduced weeds that I have never had on my property, with spiky thistles and mullein. The grass seed used was a high maintenance seed that grows fast, tall, lime green grass that grows in clumps that look like crabgrass and needs a lot of water. The crew were so careless with seeding the lawn that they seeded the gardens, forest and driveway, that are now contaminated with grass that continues to seed and spread where it is not wanted.The gravel has so much soil mixed in that I spend more time weeding the driveway than the garden.The landscaping has created drainage and erosion problems, leaving me with a yard that is difficult to maintain and not useful for any activity.The contractor damaged property and trees without informing me and tried to bury garbage under the soil, leaving me with repairs to personal property and trees and garbage to clean up.
