Kind of disappointed. Had been told how good this place was so was looking forward to it. Pleasant atmosphere but not much authentic German cuisine on the menu. Lots of twists on it but not truly Bavarian food.

Eating at Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel Haus gives one the feeling of being transported off the continent to Germany. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and highly recommend this old world gem. With attention to detail, the owners give their guests a truly European experience. The food was tasty. The service timely with the waitresses dressed in German garb.The grounds are lovely with flowers, and water fountain, backing on to a forest in Invermere.Another fantastic feature was the bird room. Patrons could view several different types of birds happily eating, flying, and interacting through large windows.The ambiance is enhanced with hand painted murals, and details, with a memorial to the artist framed by the door.Great for a date night or special occasion.Thank you for this lovely experience. Highly recommend!

Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel Haus
This restaurant reminded me of my home (Germany).The food is delicious and the plates are big. I love the ambiance with the waitresses dressed in Alp-style clothing and German music playing.I recommend reserving a table as it gets pretty full even during the week.Definitely on my must-go list whenever we are in the area.

Customer service was great. For me, I can really see the great service and quality from the outside of the restaurant to the table. If you like seafood Shrimp ‘Mignonette’ is one that I highly recommend. Then, Schnitzel Champignon for my main, the red cabbage from the dish and Schnitzel itself was the best! My mouth was playing in my mouth as theres a lot of things going on there. When i ate my sister's Seafood ‘Saint Jacques' I actually almost cried from nostalgia. I also ate Black Forrest and Coupe “Denmark”for dessert which I also highly recommend if you still have space for it.

Not worth the price at all. Our meal started with our server not introducing himself and speaking very casually, he was very unprofessional. The food was flavorless and honestly gave me a bad impression of Austrian/german cuisine. On top of the they charge for refills of soda which I find to be classless and cheap since sodas are so inexpensive. Overall a let down I won't expose myself to again.

A truly authentic experience. Great food, a bit on the pricey side but the quality is there. Staff was friendly but seemed a little rushed to get more customers through. Make sure to book a reservation and follow the dress code.

We really had a good time here. The food was very good, and the place itself is very unique with an awesome history. We sat next to the bird sanctuary, and it was a treat for my little ones.Our service was slow, but we were there a little late, and in the aftermath of an apparently super busy night. My wife and I would have written it off as relaxed service, but the kids got restless. Birds saved the evening.

Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel Haus
Such a beautiful and unique place to eat! Came here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend! It was so delicious! The drinks are classic and well made, the food was spectacular! First time I ever tried duck and I loved it! A bit pricey for sure but good for a once in a while or special occasion, well worth it and will be back!
