The food is amazing. We came all the way from Kitchener and it’s worth every single minute that we drove . The staff are friendly and nice to talk to. Best shawarma we’ve ever had .

I heard a lit about this place and wanted to try since I am still searching for THE BEST SHAWARMA sandwich.We rented a car since it is far from where we live and decided to give it a try.Clean place, busy, and a nice menu. Good portion too. It seems that they offer shawarma in different types of bread. We wanted to try the cheapest for sure so I ordered and she didn't ask me anything so we paid and then I realized that the price was higher than what I saw and that is when I saw that there are different prices for the different bread. Anyway, we ordered one chicken and one meat to try both. Let us say it was normal taste. It was not bad and I advise you to try it, but it was not yet THE SHAWARMA sandwich that I am still looking for in Toronto.My husband didn't think it was worth trying again too. But I can say that it works for having a bite.

Food was okay, but they had no air conditioning and it was extremely loud. Sitting between 50 other sweaty and hot people was not fun, it got really humid. Not sure why the owners didn’t turn on air conditioning in mid summer. Until they turn on air conditioning only get takeout.A plate of skewer with no naan or sauce is $20, which means u are paying $2 per piece of 2 inch chicken. Their pita bread is cold and the drinks were hot. They don’t give any rice/naan/sauce with their platter and the platter is already so expensive. Our bill was $70 for the small amount of food.

we walked in on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food is and lively the atmosphere! the staff was very nice and friendly! don’t forget about the complimentary chai!!! would 10/10 recommend

My husband and I traveled from Philadelphia to Toronto specifically for this restaurant. The restaurant was bustling with customers. The shawarma was on full display. The air was filled with mouthwatering aromas. Customer service was great, they were helpful and patient with us while we ordered a bunch of items on the menu. Each item was equally as delicious as the next. I wished we lived closer, we’ll be dreaming of sumaq until we can visit again. 10/10 recommend!

This place is always packed and for a good reason. Absolutely amazing food and customer service. This is my 4th time visiting and I decided to leave a review finally. I’m never disappointed when I go there. I got the Lamb Tikka plate and my boyfriend got the Chicken Tikka Shawarma. Definitely a spot to visit if you’re in Scarborough, trust me when I say the wait is totally worth it.

I recently had dinner at Sumaq Iraqi Charcoal Grill and while the food was not quite to my taste, I understand that this may be due to personal preferences. I found the food to be a bit too oily for my liking, but I also noticed that the restaurant was very busy, which led me to believe that perhaps this is just the way Arabian food is prepared.Despite my personal preferences, I have no doubt that the food was prepared perfectly and with care. It was clear that the restaurant took pride in their dishes and the presentation was excellent. The menu had a good range of options and the ingredients used were of high quality.However, one small issue that I had was that the utensils provided for eating were disposable forks and spoons. While this may be convenient for the restaurant, I would have preferred to have a more sustainable option.

One of the bad service I got from this restaurant…… they were rude as well. However, the price is so expensive, it’s 16.49 dollars plus tax and it’s has 8 pieces of chicken in the chicken shawarma plates and little number of topping as well… Also, I told them to don’t put tomatoes on the plate but they did twice even though I told them that I’m allergic to tomatoes, so they told me to come at the store and take another salad plate so but still as I opened the lid of the container and it has tomatoes on it… I recommend you guys get food from other restaurants bcz they are so expensive and low quantities.

Went here today with a friend and we both ordered shwarma separately. My friend received his one within 10 minutes and he was waiting for my order to arrive so we both could eat together. After 5 minutes, I went to the cashier and asked her why is my order taking so long. She said they are making it and another 10 minutes gone by and I inquire again, to which she replied, they have messed up my order and asked me what i initially ordered. Finally, after 30 MINUTES of waiting, they finally served my simple chicken shwarma which wasn't even that great! We had such a horrible experience and won't be wasting our time and money here again. Well, the worst part was that they weren't even apologetic given that i was very upset because they messed up my order and took 30 minutes to serve a shwarma! Pathetic customer service!
