I attempted to give this location business. They want $43 Canadian to ship a parcel. I needed a strip or two of boxing tape for the parcel. I was told by the employee I must buy a roll of boxing tape. Because they’re a privatized location. I did not give them my business instead. I’ve been to dozens of other locations that don’t mind helping out by giving a strip of tape. No customer courtesy at this location

I have gone to this post office 3 times in the past week to pick up a parcel, and failed every time. Why? Because even though I was the next one in line or second in line, after waiting 20 to 30 minutes, the line still did not move so I had no choice but to leave with an obvious level of annoyance. 3 times in 3 visits! I can't even pick up a parcel at this post office!I think I know the main reason, though. There is some Asian guy who is running a mail order business and he has taken over this Canada Post kiosk. He has literally hundreds of packages that they have to scan and package up in plastic containers. What is this nonsense? Hey buddy, go somewhere else. You are making everybody wait for unreasonable amounts of time and affecting the business of the entire plaza because nobody else can find parking while post office customers are parked there waiting in line for your mail order business. How Canada Post can allow something like that to happen to begin with is beyond me. This seems to be happening almost every day at around 4:00 pm when I have been going there. The last time I went, however, it wasn't just that guy. There was some Asian lady there at the counter (a customer not a worker) who didn't seem to know what service she wanted to use and had one envelope after another trying to figure out what to do with it and how to send it. I was next in line, but waited more than 15 minutes for her and then just decided to leave this terribly run post office. There were 2 ladies working there, both apparently serving the same lady and couldn't keep the line moving somehow. It could be that one of them was on standby waiting on the guy with the massive mail order business mailings, but she didn't seem to be doing very much from what I could see, and the line was around 10 customers long by the time I stormed out of there for the 3rd time. What amazing customer service! Not.

This location is closed. I visited today and there is no longer a post office in the 7-11 at First and Nanaimo.
