Dettmer Tire & Auto Center (TreadPro Auto Center)

I have been taking my cars to Dettmer Tire on Cork Street for about 15 years now. They are the best auto repair shop I have dealt with, and I've dealt with a few. Their service has been personal and professional, caring and efficient. In all these years I have never felt that they're taking advantage of me, as I have at some other auto repair shops. I am fully satisfied with their service, and I recommend them highly!

Dettmer Tire and Auto Center is the best in Guelph! Everyone there is so kind and knowledgable. They always call you to check in about repairs before they go ahead with them and are always willing to answer questions or provide advice. Everyone there, especially Chris, is so helpful. They really care about their customers. Would highly recommend for all your car needs!

The service was fine. I got my tires changed and they put my winter tires in the back of my car so poorly that one of the tires was rolling around and banging on my rear windshield the whole drive. I was worried about it cracking the glass. I have transported tries in my car many times and this has never been an issue. If I’m going to be paying $70 for a tire change I shouldn’t have to worried about how someone puts the tires in my car.

Call around before you go to Dettmer for a mechanical issue. The scope of work and the price Dettmer quoted me for a wheel bearing replacement and ac fix was way, way more than I was charged at another mechanic. They have done good work for me in the past but I think they charge too much and replace too many parts to get the fix done in my experience

Great service for tires and all the other problems that automobiles can give you. Unlike one dealership service center in Guelph, the folks at Dettmer answer the phones and book the appointments for you in a timely, friendly fashion. Never had an issue with the quality of the service. Like Jack Reacher says ...... Outstanding.

They damaged my new wheels during installation. I didn't notice right away because the car needs to be parked a certain way to see the damage. They tried telling me i hit a pot hole, I don't hit potholes I avoid them and drive on the same roads everyday. Wouldn't recommend coming here. I could say a lot more about the customer service experience I had when I told them they damaged my wheels.

Fixed my tire that had a small screw in it. I was told by a quicklube that the tire had to be replaced but dettmer fixed it right up and was able to provide the back up of a replacement if it had been necessary.

Dettmer Cork St location has been the go to place for our family vehicles for years. They are prompt and thorough and handle all issues in a timely and very price friendly manner. I would recommend them to anyone!

Not the greatest experience. Scheduled an alignment and tire mount/balance via email with Michael Adams. Dropped the car off as discussed and emailed Michael.Upon receiving no response till late in the afternoon, I called and was told that they had no idea my car was coming in because Mike works at the Eramosa location. And to top it off, the car would not get an alignment since their rack is broken.The price to mount/balance 4 tires on a BMW is also exorbitant at $150. Furthermore, when I inquired about my existing summer tires, i was told that they were in the trash". How does a business just toss tires out with 60% tread without discussing with the vehicle owner?I've been to numerous garages and work in the automotive space and this experience was abysmal. 0 Stars would be fitting for how this transaction was handled.STAY AWAY"

Love Dettmer. Trust worthy, informative and reliable. I had a issue with my brakes (which were done within the year by another shop) and they looked into the warranties on the product and got me a reduced rate on the new brakes and set me up proper.
