Dr. Anna Hinek

I suffered with my condition for a long time under Dr. Hinek, the best thing I did was switch to a dermatologist who could actually give me safe and up to date treatments that Dr.Hinek refused to give me. Now I actually have quality of life that I didn't have before. I'm not in constant pain all the time and I can do things I haven't been able to do before. Perhaps if she just listened to me, my concerns, my pain and actually believed the severity of my condition like other dermatologist did I would have been treated a lot sooner.

Do yourself a favour and ask for a referral to ANY other dermatology clinic. The receptionist and the doctor are both equally incredibly rude, dismissive, incompetent and unprofessional. The doctor has the WORST bedside manner, does not properly examine your issue to provide a proper diagnosis, and then insults you and talks down to you. How this doctor is still in business and seeing patients amazes me. Literally- go anywhere else.

I had some spots to have looked at and this Doctor was rude and impatient. Referred to me as One of those people " - I am in need of a dermatologist and will be speaking to my Family GP about her and that I need to go see someone else. Anna Hinek - the worst. One star is generous."

I found Dr. Hinek to be precise and to the point. I’m not looking for a 30 min conversation on how her day is going. Just a diagnosis and treatment plan, which I got (after suffering from a condition no one could diagnose for 30 years). The only downside is, as other reviews have stated, it’s very hard to get them on the phone and there is no voicemail.

Dr Hynek and her receptionist are both rude, lack empathy, and are condescending to patients. She refused to remove keratosis from my neck area or would charge $200 per spot. I hope when she's older and wants to have treatment for a nuisance skin condition, she finds someone more sympathetic and courteous. One of the worst bedside manners I have come across in my 77 years. She'd be better off being a pathologist in a lab or dealing with dead bodies. If I had the choice I would give no star.

Dr Hinek is very to the point and I enjoyed my visits because she was efficient. However they are VERY hard to get in contact with. I was starting my Accutane journey with Dr Hinek however during my 2nd month we ran into trouble with getting paper work for my blood tests. They said the only way to get it was in person and I didnt want to take off work hours just to go grab a piece of paper. So after chasing them multiple times they agreed to fax it to my mother's work place so I could get my bloodwork done. As I approached my 3rd month I chased this office for a whole week to schedule my follow up appointment to get my monthly Accutane prescription and no luck. They finally set up a voicemail so I left one and I waited, however it's been almost 3 weeks and no reply so I've decided to stop visiting. I will be asking my GP if I could continue my accutane journey with another dermatologist.

Very poor and unpleasant receptionist. That’s why I have cancelled my appointment with the doctor 10 minutes before the appointment. Hopefully, she will read this and see how people find her and don’t like her unpleasant behaviour.

My visit in the office was the worst experience in my life. Receptionist and the doctor were unprofessional, rude and obnoxious . The comment that I got from the doctor was rude by commenting that my skin problem is “ from being old and sun bathing “ and that it’s MY FAULT. When all I wanted to know if my spots were cancerous. But meanwhile doctor did not examine me properly. Only made me feel disappointed and upset. I don’t recommend anyone going to that office.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Hinek. The first thing she told me was that my family doctor shouldn’t have referred me to her. When asking clarifying questions, she interrupted me multiple times. She has deplorable bedside manner, and shows zero empathy towards patients. She was condescending, pompous, and I left my appointment in tears. The office never answers the phone, and it’s impossible to get in contact to change an appointment. If you have a choice, do not go to this doctor.

Dr Hinek was on time, thorough and took her time answering all our questions. We left feeling confident about her diagnosis and well taken care of
