Cozy yoga, meditation and teacher training studio located in the heart of Gastown. All classes are by donation with a suggested minimum donation of $5! Lots of different classes offered including: Hatha, Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Meditation.

Wonderful yoga teacher training! I learned so much and healed a lot in terms of my relationship to yoga as a practice. Very grateful for the experience.

My experience at Karma teachers has been quite hit and miss. When I have attended a class where the instructors have been there, its been wonderful. Teachers are well trained and even willing to go the extra mile in the class setting to cater to the needs of the class. UNFORTUNATELY, this is when they show up! I travel on transit quite far to get to classes that will fit into my schedule, and it is very frustrating when I take the time to plan my schedule around getting to a class and the instructors don't show up. I like Karma teachers because it is a model of social responsibility that I want to support, but today marks the 4th time I have signed up for a morning class, gotten up early to be there, and the instructor has decided its not worth getting up early to be there too. I understand that the by donation model creates less incentive for instructors to fulfill their commitments, but as a paying customer I have a running tab now for classes I have paid for and have not received... I appreciate the volunteer based structure at Karma teachers, and really have enjoyed my experiences there when its worked out. I just warn anyone who signs up that they may go all the way there for nothing. There needs to be a better system in place to encourage teachers to hold to their commitment to teach.

A fantastic group of people teach & practice here. They are all very welcoming; no one is turned away. The space as well is beautiful & amazing. 100% will practice here again.I came because a friend of mine is doing her teacher training here. They hold their classes by donation. The teacher I had for Yin yoga was wonderful & helped correct / adjust some of my poses. Beyond happy I was introduced to Karma.

The teachers are great staff are very friendly and helpful. the atmosphere cozy There is a nice seating area and you can help yourself to a complimentary cup of healthy drinks There is also a small changing roomI would definitely recommend it!I feel really lucky to have this studio in my neighbourhood and look forward many more sessions there.

Had my most memorable yoga session here today. I had never meditated so well. The atmosphere that karma yoga offers is unlike any other studio. Once I stepped in, I could feel the true peace and compassion that yoga embodies. Their new location is in gastown and I believe that it was a strategic decision. I love that their mission is to offer classes to those who really need it but may not be able to afford a class at any other studio. I will always support this wonderful initiative ❤️. Thank you for spreading kindness into this world!

The YTT exceeded my expectations with high-quality instruction, a strong foundation in anatomy, ethics, history, and lots of opportunity to self-reflect and grow as a person. Highly recommend. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Such a blessed space! The instructors are amazing and Karma Yoga does so much for the community. They offer a wide range of yoga classes and their dance classes are so much fun! Highly recommend checking them out.

The 200-hour teacher training exceeded my expectations. Incredibly thoughtful and heartfelt teachings from all the instructors- their unique styles resonated in different ways and helped me remain curious about the subtleties in the art of the practice. An opportunity for quality education, with all the space for self-growth.
