We shop regularly at Pet Max for dog food, toys, treats etc. and have always had a positive experience so we figured we would try out their grooming services - terrible decision. Our dog is typically very comfortable with groomers however when we arrived to pick him up this time he seemed unusually anxious. It wasn’t until we got home that we realized that two of his paws were bleeding pretty bad. When we took a closer look we saw that four of his nail quicks had been clipped really short causing them to bleed (2 nails on 2 different paws). We had to clean and wrap his paws because they wouldn’t stop bleeding. Even hours later they continued to bleed leaving marks of the floors and furniture… when I called Pet Max to tell them what had happened they didn’t seem to care very much saying it was “normal” and that the groomer likely didn’t notice. There is absolutely no way that our dog did not react to having his nail quicks clipped that short so it is extremely hard to believe that they did not know this happened. Nothing was said to us when we picked him up either!! We have taken our dog to several different groomers and this has NEVER happened. Even other groomers would have used quick-stop to cut off the blood, but they didn’t mention anything about it.I would caution all pet owners and would NOT recommend taking your dog here.I have pictures and I would share them if I could but there doesn’t seem to be an option to add photos.

I used to order my dog food from Petsmart, Petvalue or Amazon, depending who had it in stock at the time of ordering. My dog is on Purina Pro Plan for sensitive stomach. 9 out of 10 times when I tried to order it, the big stores were either out of stock or they failed to fulfill the order on time. I found Pet Max and I was just surprised with their speedy response & delivery!! This will be my place to order from now on!

Decent prices. Excellent staff. I take my dog there to get her nails done and the staff is always friendly and very good with my girl. She loves the treat after her nail trim. Highly recommend this store.

I ordered 2 bags of dog food, they were delivered within a reasonable time frame to AB. Then shortly after my dog was diagnosed with allergies to the protein I purchased. Luckily the bags were still not openee as I was using up the one I had, but Petmax was very responsive, helpful and quick at responding and reaching a solution. I will definitely be shopping from here in the future.

I bought a case of wet food for my newly adopted cat, only to find out she doesn't care for wet food! Bryan from customer service took care of the details and sent me a shipping label so that I could return the food. He made the whole process so easy! I have recommended Pet Max to my friends and neighbours and I will be buying all my cat supplies from them!

Quality products, good price and good service. They are very efficient and quick to respond to your questions and requests. Highly recommend! They offer extremely good promotions as well.

Having a dog with a serious chronic health problem it was important to use a particular food supplement (recommended by vet) which was not easily obtained in home city plus expensive. An online search came up with Pet Max, a Canadian company that was able to supply the item l needed at a decent price. I was grateful it was a Canadian supplierthat shipped quickly and without shipping fees as l ordered sufficient for my immediate needs. Thus far my dog appears to be doing exceptionallywell much to my enormous relief. Trying to find necessary products for an animal’s health without excessive expense is not always easy, and to acquire it in Canada is a bonus.A happy customer.

Prices are good! Catherine the groomer is AMAZING!! Did a great job with our 2 cats. This is our new store for supplies and grooming.
