JMF Custom Wood Features

We fell so very fortunate to have found JMF Custom Wood Features here in Durham Region! We required a reclaimed 5' hewn beam for our new fireplace and the final, stained beam was simply amazing! It complements the overall design beautifully. Jeffrey and his crew were complete professionals and we would not hesitate to refer their services 100%!!!

Be very weary of the product that you ask for. Tried to address these cracks and curvature in the wood with no response

We had our door installed in August 2022. Quality of the product is on point and the techs provided a very pleasant interaction.Unfortunately communication with Jeffery was not the best. Slow to respond to emails even when it came time to set a date for the install. We had to follow up a few times so that logistics would work out with our household.After the install we found that the door had a smaller gap on one side and slightly larger gap on the other. We sent in an email asking if they could assist with the gap issue, made sure they understood it had nothing to do with the quality of the door and nothing to do with the techs install work. We even offered to pay for the techs time.We were advised not to worry, someone will come out and take a look. A tech came out and we spoke about two plans. He left and said the office will call us. One week passed by and the second week. Sent an email indicating what we thought would be best, a few days later we followed up with a phone call. Jeffery apologized and says the tech will come back out to wrap everything up.The tech arrives for the second time, and is clearly unaware of the email sent in, along with the conversation with Jeffery. He leaves again with the right plan in mind, and again says the office will be in contact. To this date, no call from the office and that is that. In total from the time we reached out with our request it has been three months two unproductive visits and nothing from Jeffery or his office. A lot of talk about great customer service in some of these reviews, which was taken at face value. However truly not the case, shop around and ensure actions and words match up.

JMF Custom Wood Features were outstanding to deal with for our home renovation project. They are friendly, professional, and true craftsmen. We plan to deal with them again in the near future for our next home renovation project.

I cannot recommend Jeffery enough. I reached out to him for a custom door for my den. Right from my first contact he was very professional and clear about the cost, timeframe for the work and what the final outcome would be. And boy did he deliver. The look and finish of the door far exceeded our expectations. I will be going with Jeffery for any further wood work that I have and I would fully recommend his services to anyone.

I purchased a mantle from JMF Custom Wood Features and had it installed above my fireplace. The amount of compliments I get on it is crazy. I must say I was extremely pleased with the product, service and overall experience with JMF Custom Wood Features.

We ordered a custom built barn door from JMF and we are so glad we did. The door was 9 feet tall and 4 feet wide and it is beautiful. Far better than I imagined. The craftsmanship is perfect. They were very professional and responded quickly. The installation was not easy, they even had to carry it up to my 4th floor condo as it wouldn't fit in the elevator. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. They are worth it.

JMF created and installed beautiful custom doors in our entrance area. They are a work of art. We are extremely happy with the final product and the installation experience. I would highly recommend JMF Custom Wood Features.
