Such a nice cozy restaurant with welcoming owner & nice staff. The food is top notch. I love all of their dishes. This time we had Hakka noodles & Veg biryani & they were super delicious. it’s my comfort place to eat best Indian food.

It was good. Upto today we were rating tava grill as first but yesterday we went to mirchi I ordered butter tandoori roti with amritsari chole and my husband made prawn gravy, chicken tandoori with rice. The veg dishes were 4/5 and non veg 4/5. He said tandoori was dame good than tava but in prawn and rice tava beated mirchi. So in first expression itself still tava grill dominate mirchi tandor

Super delicious food, we had lamb biriyani, Tandoori chicken, naan bread, and a dessert I forgot the name. Big portion, fair price. I have to mention the owner and stuff are super friendly, definitely will go back !Highly recommended!!!

We were in downtown Halifax and looking for a place to eat when we decided to check this place out as you could smell the aroma of tasty Indian food as you got near the restaurant .It is a fairly small restaurant and seemed very popular as it was packed but after a wait we were able to get a table, The menu was fairly large so it was hard for me to choose what to have (a good problem), I eventually opted for the Lamb Shank Biryani with Chilly Garlic Naan. I thought the food tasted excellent and it was extremely filling. I could barely finish the meal despite finding it to be delicious. The price was very reasonable for what you got.The staff were very helpful in helping us out as one of us had a food allergy so they took particular care in helping him find a dish that he could eat safely.Being in downtown Halifax it has the usual issues of trying to get parking close to it, but that is not a reflection of the restaurant more of the whole area. They also have delivery options as I noticed a number being picked up while we were there.

I was worried as we were 1st to arrive and well the bathroom is gross, since all the urine stains must have been from earlier in the day or from the day before. I am a little concerned it that is going to reflect on the food. Restaurant itself looks clean and service was fast and very nice. The food…. Looked, smelled and tasted amazing. I just did butter chicken but it was so creamy and good. I will be back

Decent food for good prices. The service and ambience is adequate. We went in when it was packed but we were able to find a seat. They had decided to open their windows as it was getting bit warm. The order took some time but overall it was not a concern. We tried their Murg Lawabdar which was good if you don’t mind getting your hands messy. The dal makhni stole the show. The paneer butter masala was okay. Wish the naan was a bit better and the portion sizes of dal was bigger. Otherwise no major issues. Will most probably visit again soon.

i would like to say this is the best place to have tasty indian food plus the presentation of food is so good... we have so many other places to dine out but they don't offer the quality and taste of indian food like mirchi tandoor does adding more to this that i am a vegetarian and i never go out of choices everytime i can try something new

Really impressed with the quality and quantity of food. All the dishes we ordered had authentic Indian taste. Quantity was also good. But there were only 2 ladies taking orders and serving. It was clearly overwhelming for them. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Excellent food and located at an excellent place at the heart of Halifax. You might not find much parking space around. However the food is delicious and the portions are massive, we had a takeaway order. The chicken Biryani is bone in loaded with 3 leg pieces. Two plates of chicken Biryani is enough for 3 people. The chicken lababdar was mind blowing. I would recommend this to everyone.
