Friend went here, everything they’ve said just proves the school is even worse than I thought, the owner is a money grabbing ghoul who would rather the students be taught the equivalent of a primary school education then actually gain anything. Anybody thinking of coming here, you’d be better off burning your money

I just graduated from Maritime Business College taking Interior Decorating! I enjoyed my program a lot. Sharon my instructor was amazing!! And the school is great they do a lot of fun games and contests between the programs which makes it super fun. And I was able to get a full time Kitchen Design job as soon as I graduated and I was able to get a freelance position where I did my internship!!!

I graduated from the business administration and marketing program.Returning back to school as a mature student can be intimidating, and trying to start during covid makes things even more complicated. MBC made it an easy transition and guided me through the whole process, which has been a huge stress relief. My teacher Marianne has been an integral part of my professional growth, she has not just taught me many invaluable lessons, but has also become a professional friend and mentor.I have previously attended a competitor's campus, but I can say that I felt more welcomed here, and I love the school spirit. It is so cool to walk into the school and be greeted by a friendly face, and holiday celebrations, or see displays of recent student work.Like everything the experience is what you make it, and it's all dependent on your attitude and work ethic, but Maritime Business college makes it an easy place to grow.So easy that I'm going back again, :DThis time I'm going to be exploring 2D/3D animation and I can't wait!

Since enrolling at MBC in the Counselling and Social Services program, I have made many great friends and learned so much about mental health and addictions. I’ve always had a passion for mental health and so far, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Maritime Business College!

In 2018 I graduated Human Services at Success College, a subsidiary of Maritime Business College along with about 2 or 3 other private colleges that were located in Halifax that have since closed and their programs reabsorbed into the parent brand. I feel that I was a good student with an excellent GPA, my opinions of the specific instructors I interacted with is that they were professional and helpful, administration was tolerable and usually fair to interact with. Over all I can say that I had a relatively good post secondary educational experience at this Private College. Now then, Private College is the key word here. MBC is a business, they are open to make money, full stop. Any prospective student needs to be fully aware of this as it guides the direction and policies that are foundational of the college. Also because MBC is a private college, at the time of this review any student loans used to pay a tuition fee of a private college is ineligible for student loan forgiveness.I will not slander the name nor reputation of this college as it is a perfectly appropriate avenue for some persons in acquiring a postsecondary education that could lead to employment opportunities, especially when they may encounter barriers at other prominent and well known educational establishments. However as a prospective student before signing anything, I would do my due diligence in asking as many questions as possible about the specifics of post graduation employment opportunities, such as where exactly (names, addresses etc.) a graduate can be employed with the credentials obtained through MBC. I would also ask about recognition, applicability and transferability of credentials to other educational establishments, as well as continuing education requirements and costs in the employment fields that MBC programing prepares their students for. Answering these and other questions will provide any prospective student with all the information they need to know concerning whether or not MBC is a good choice. This is a business and that makes their students consumers. Know your rights and your responsibilities as a consumer of any product, even if that product is education.

I'm a student in corrections and law enforcement and I've absolutely loved my time here. The staff are amazing and the teachers definitely know their stuff. They come prepared with an array of knowledge to help you out in the real world. I would say I'm definitely prepared to go out and get a job in my field.

Would give zero stars if it was an option. School is money hungry and doesn’t care about your education, teachers are poor and bully students as well as other staff. Don’t recommend to anyone.

I am currently enrolled in the Interior Decorating course currently and it’s fantastic! Sharon the instructor is super knowledgeable and has deep roots in the maritime design community. Even as a student, it’s already opened up so many doors for me. I love coming in every day knowing that I’m being set up for success. If you ever want to see any of my student mood boards for reference, you can find me on Instagram as @saltandfoginteriors. I’m available for any questions you might have there as well.
