I was in this salon last Saturday to get my hair done. My hair was a horrible mess it had been since July 2018 when I had it cut or coloured. Sabrina did an amazing job on the cut and colour. My hair was past my shoulder blades and the bayalage I had done in July most definitely needed to have the blonde brought up in the roots.Sabrina did a rough cut to get all the dead and damaged hair off then applied foil after foil after foil of blonde. I also need my roots touched up with the bit of greys showing. She did an amazing job blending the colours. The cut I requested was a bob with layers and texture, Sabrina cut it exactly to how I wanted it. The styling she did after was a very beachy feel. I have been able to come out of the salon and style this cut very easily myself.My hair is not the easiest to work with. I have corse, natural wavy, frizzy, kinky hair that is fine but I have lots of it. Some have said that my hair is a stylists nightmare lol. Sabrina tackled the challenge like a professional and did such a great job. I will be going back to her for all my cuts and colours.

The salon is well kept, always neat and tidy. Staff is amazing and so friendly. Rachel does gorgeous eyelashes for such a reasonable price. Her nails are so beautiful.

It was all very unprofessional from the moment I called because the stylist wasn’t even at the salon and she called me from her personal number was dealing with a flat tire. So rather than say we don’t have any bookings available today when I called the salon, I had to book the following day with the lady dealing with a flat tire.So as it’s my first time at the salon I went and Tina did my hair. I showed her a style that had bangs and I wanted it to frame my face nicely but you can see from my photos below after it’s first wash, that I tried to work with it after the fact. The bangs were not blended and the cut was uneven. She was not confident in her work and kept asking me if “I was sure” after the styling and I was starting to doubting her work when I had a highlight, color, cut and style with a purple shampoo and tip came out to $408. Since Tina was the only stylist working in the place that day, she also was very distracted throughout. She was answering calls, running out to her car, however we did get into a good casual conversations. I wasn’t too pleased that the whole thing took 5 hours and I had to change my meeting with a client by an hour to buy her some more time. Normally I sit in the chair about 3 hours at most and I know I have thick hair. She offered to reimburse me for the hair cut of $45 to have it fixed. She called and told me she was at an appointment with her child getting blood work done and couldn’t see me until after that. I decided I would book again with another stylist at “Your Choice Hair Salon” in my own time because Tina really sounds like she has a lot going on for me to be her client. So I had to pay another stylist at the same salon to fix my cut and so I’ve paid twice for one good haircut. Tina’s gone silent and offered me to pay out of pocket for the haircut to make up for it. Tina really only cared about taking pictures of the back of my head and not my frame around my face (which is where people often look at me). No hard feelings towards her but I refuse to get my hair done by someone who has too much going on in her personal life that it starts to overflow into her professional work life. I would not return to the salon since it’s so expensive and I could have had better attention and confidence somewhere else. I do appreciate Sabrina who fixed the haircut and also made sure I left happier than when I arrived but she understood how disappointed I felt about the whole thing and that it was embarrassing for me to not be able to show off my new haircut for almost a month and it’s been in a ponytail and braid to keep it manageable. I’m giving two stars and that’s for the friendliness and the fact that someone cared to make up for the mistake for what I asked the second time. Almost $500 at this place and here it’s cost me nothing but money, time and energy to look nice after a month.PS - I know styling the hair does become a problem after it’s first wash sometimes but I tried to get it under control and I was not happy about how it looked in my photos which seemed to have been a waste on highlights and color when I haven’t shown off the new do in it’s fullness.
