Orleans Taekwondo Academy

My one star review results with frustration with an unclear contract. My 6 year old wanted to try a form of martial arts. We wanted to sign up for only one month when I asked to cancel the subscription we were forced to pay for a second month because we did not give 30 days notice. This means to do only a month at this establishment you must cancel your contract the day you sign up. This is incredibly unclear in the contract. I even vocalized we were looking to do one month upon signing the contract and was not explained that i needed to cancel my contract then. The program itself is fine if your kid is invested in doing Taekwondo this place provides decent practice. If your kid is actually interested in earning belts the sharkish contract is probably not a problem. I would understand maybe the terms of the contract for adults but for a 6 year old its a bit rough especially when not committed to the sport.

Orleans Taekwondo is a family business that really does emphasize the family aspect over the business. It is very easy to feel at home here.The school offers lessons for adults as well as children but my experience with it stems from my being the parent of a young student. It has been a wonderful environment for my child to do great exercise, develop self-confidence and self-discipline.I would like to thank Master and Mrs Gibson for providing such a rich environment for my child to develop in and keep fit.

This is a great place. Master Gibson takes the time to make sure his students get the time they need to practice and more importantly get their own inner confidence and excel beyond the gym.They have been great for both of my kids and when my others are old enough they will be here as well. I recommend this place to anyone.

We registered my hyperactive son in Taekwondo for his development, discipline, respect and self-confidence. Masters Lionel Gibson and Lisa Gibson have been excellent teachers and demand the most out of their students. Our son loves it! We are very pleased and highly recommend Orleans Taekwondo!

My two sons have been with Masters Lionel and Lisa Gibson at Tae E. Lee Orleans Taekwondo for the past few months and are enjoying it immensely.We heard about them from friends and after looking at a few different locations in our area we decided to start our boys here.From our very first visit we felt at home and welcome. They are firm, and want to teach, but they are kind, caring and compassionate people who take pride in what they do and how their school is run.I would like to thank Master Lionel and Lisa Gibson as well as all the fantastic instructors at Tae E. I have been a student at Orleans Taekwondo for 16 years. The Owners, Master Lionel Gibson and Lisa Gibson, along with the rest of the instructional team do a great job of instilling confidance, a positive attitude, self discipline, and many other qualities that will serve you well everywhere. They do all this while still providing a fun-filled and memorable expirence that will leave you wanting to come back and learn some more. 5 stars does not even begin to summerize my 16 years at Orleans Taekwondo. It is truely one of a kind and a place from which I hope many will benefit for years to come.

Mr. and Mrs. Gibson are the best instructors in Ottawa and are incredibly friendly. I would recommend Orleans Taekwondo Academy to everybody.

Since 2016, I have had my 2 sons (ages 7 and 9) participating in Taekwondo classes with Masters Lionel Gibson and Lisa Gibson at Tae E. Lee Orleans Taekwondo School.I am thrilled with how much both of my sons have grown in confidence, discipline and physical strength.The instructors are awesome, and the Masters/Owners are very caring!! This is great place for children (and adults) of all ages and abilities to learn great skills, improve body coordination, build confidence, burn off excess energy - and most important of all have lots of fun!!Thank you, Sabu Gibson

Orleans Taekwondo is a wonderful school. My daughter has been participating in classes since February and it still amazes me how much progress she has made since. Apart from her technical skills, she gained strenght, flexibility and Moo Kwang Philosophy became an important part of her everyday life. Olympic style sparring has helped to build her cofidence and the same time - respect for opponents.Great instructors and owners Mr and Mrs Gibson, make this place feel like home, not only for students but also for their families and friends. They're patient but firm. They support, encourage, reinforce and have fantastic approach to students.My daugher is here 4 times a week and I'm an enthusiastic participant of cardio-fitness class in Orleans Taekwondo myself. Being here 5 times a weeks, together with great atmosphere, make this place indeed feel like 2nd home :)
