Went to Whitecaps on a Saturday for dinner after a show at the Huron County Playhouse and I couldn't get into a restaurant because I underestimated the number of people that would be in town and didn't make a reservation. Anyway, she wanted lake fish and they had that. There was a lot of grease on the plate and she was feeling that all night but said the fish was good. I had a Buffalo chicken wrap and although it was not something I would normally get and it had onions on it which I never eat raw, it was actually quite good and the fries were good also. Not a lot of bees/wasps there, which was also great. Not a lot of selection on the menu but I would still say it's not a bad place to go. The prices were not higher than I expected.

Nasty!!! Took my dad here for Father’s Day supper, we both had the 2 piece cod dinner and a side of onion rings. The batter was so thick and over cooked we were peeling the batter from the fish, onion rings were over cooked and tasted like nasty old oil. Service there isn’t much to say they drop the food to your table and that’s that. Never ever again. You would think they would have good fish being right at the lake.

Food and service was great! We ended up going two days in a row. We got the fish and shrimp combo with an extra piece of perch. It comes with fries, in house tartar sauce and what tasted like sweet chili Thai. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was more than enough for 2 of us. Great view from the patio as well and a fun atmosphere.

Best fish and shrimp in Grand Bend. Huge serving size with 25 popcorn shrimp and a nice size serving of haddock. Perfectly cooked, crisp tasty batter on both fish and shrimp and delivered to our table piping hot. We ate on patio, well spaced tables, great river view. Will definitely be back.

Terrible fish, over-battered is an understatement. They serve better fish pretty much everywhere else. Behind the layers of batter reveals very small pieces of fish.All together the battered pickerel was hardly edible, very disappointing. If you want good fish this definitely is not the place.Must be different owners because my previous experience years past has been excellent, totally different breading, fries ect

Just order fish dinner, small pieces, not quality fish, hardly any fries, not sure what the coleslaw was. Under new ownership. Disappointed in the order, last time for us!!

This is my favourite place for fish and chips; tasty pickerel, lightly battered. But this time, heavier batter than usual was disappointing. Too early in the season? Cole slaw was excellent though. Web site needs updating.
