An annual display of pure talent from people in the city. This is the first year I performed myself, after four years of performing in a political satire show. Given the chance, I will keep performing. The shows I've attended were excellent, though there's no way I could see all of the hundred or so shows. At the Old Market Square are daily short performances at the Cube, and many food choices from the various vendor trucks. To top it off, there's the beer tent that offers not just beer and wine, but also low-carb vodka coolers (Splash).I love this annual event!

Susan Jeremy is a marvel in Teacher In The House. The New York actress and teacher shares lessons in life learned through her experiences teaching special needs children confined to their homes by illness or disability. Jeremy populates the stage with more than dozen multi-cultural characters age six to 80. With her well tuned ear and gift for accents, Jeremy presents each and every member of her cast as an individual personality so there's never any confusion as to who is who.A diagnosis of breast cancer transforms Jeremy's familiar daily routine of battling Manhattan traffic to be with her students into a life and death struggle to beat the disease. Jeremy shares her story with sensitivity and humour; drawing courage, strength and inspiration from her young charges in her transition from teacher to patient and cancer survivor.TITH is a must see for anyone whose life has been touched by the disease either personally or through someone close. A brave, enduring work presented by a masterful multi-character Fringe theatre performer.

Overall review of the Winnipeg Fringe Fest and the website: there is a great variety of shows and venues. Some shows are very intimate with under a dozen people and some fill up larger venues. The website is easy to use and plays are easy to find. One of the best ways to find out about good plays to see is just to listen to others in the audience or line outside, other performers also come around to pitch their plays. Many shows are traveling and you can find reviews from other cities if you want to know what your getting in to. Volunteers at the venues are helpful and friendly and the venues are always kept clean. I love going to this event!

The WORST website i have attempted to use in MANY MANY YEARS. We have High Speed Fibre Optics Internet. Everything is so ridiculously SLOW, as to be Un-Usable. We tried on 2 computers in 2 separate house for 90 Minutes to buy Tickets & GAVE UP. Very Frustrating.

I love the Fringe Fest so much. I've gone every year since 2004. I was hooked after the very first show I saw. While some shows are hits and some are misses, there's always a huge number and variety of shows to choose from and it's always an adventure!I have so many fond memories of the festival, I could probably write an entire novel detailing them, but I'll try to keep this short. Suffice it to say, Fringe is Winnipeg at its best, and it really is a high point of the summer. If you're new to the Fringe, be sure to pick up a program (from your local Liquor Mart) as it goes into a lot of detail about tickets, shows, venues and basically everything. If you just show up totally uninitiated, you may find it a little confusing.I was very sad to see it cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, and I'm desperately hoping it'll be back for 2021!I'm very sad to see the Fringe has ALSO been cancelled for 2021! I hope it will be back someday. The memories live on.

Best summertime fun in the Exchange district downtown: catch a show, meet up at the food trucks, repeat!

The Winnipeg Fringe is one of the best. I have always enjoyed going to the fringe. There is something that will appeal to almost everyone. Try it next year.

The shows were amazing. I loved the kids events from 12-3. The shows you pay for are confusing for first timers. Some of the show descriptions were very misleading. Overall we had a great time!

Something everyone should consider for mid July entertainment. Shows are funny, provocative, drama, and weird. But there is something for all ages, interest, and taste.
