Hakim Optical Ajax

Just called to see what the process was to get some nose pads replace. First call I was hung up on. Second call nothing but attitude not a customer friendly service. I called the Pickering location and it was 100% better.

Went in to see if weld on eyeglasses could be repaired, no one else in store, employee had a quick look said no can't be done and conversation over then employee headed to back of store. When we left there we visited a private practice optician in Oshawa where the friendly owner sat us down and explained very clearly all that had to be done to repair. He took the glasses to the back room, re-welded the cracked metal frame, painted and clear coated the repair and this took him about an hour. He returned with them repaired and repainted perfectly and when I asked 'how much' he replied 'no charge, happy to do it'. What a difference.

Second time I tried to be attended here in less than a month and nothing but excuses. I know that there's protocols to follow, I was wearing my mask all the time so that was not the problem, I arrived 45 minutes before closing, I thought it was plenty of time but the lady didn't want to let me in arguing that they need to clean everything before closing so there was no time for me to check frames. 45 minutes before closing! Maybe it was discrimination because I'm Hispanic? Maybe the lady didn't want to do her job? So I can invest 3 hours of my time just in commuting there but they don't want to invest 15 minutes on me, a costumer? So, no thanks, this optical is not for me.

My family and I have been clients at Hakim for over 10 years. We started at the Pickering location and changed to the Ajax store. The reason being Gina.Gina is professional, knowledgeable and excels with her customer service. Each and every time we need an adjustment or nose pieces replaced, Gina obliges. She has been the one who has determined the glasses I wear, I totally trust her judgment and honesty. I recently purchased Raybands, unsure of the decision I made as recommended by Gina. I LOVE these glasses and have received many compliments. Gina is not only an asset to Hakim, she has become a friend to our family. Thanks so much Gina

My daughter lives in Ajax , I was a little early on our scheduled lunch date. I ventured into HAKIM & was warmly greeted by a friendly, welcoming technician “ Matthew” This was my second time to this particular store.. I came back because Matthew, his knowledge, professionalism, whit, and patience..Once again, thank you Matthew, I’ll be back to see you in 2 years..

Matthew who is the manager always takes care of us very well. That’s why I always come here and I always recommend my friends and family members to visit here as well. The optometrist is very good with customers and informative. She is also very personable and friendly :) 5 stars!!

Horrible experience. I bought my first pair of glasses there 4 years ago. My GP Dr. gave me a Dr. note to get the optometrist to check my eye. The manager/owner wanted $80. I left went to Ajax Family Eye Care, they saw me no charge, diagnosed the problem with a prescription for eye drops. Amazing customer service! I bought another pair of glasses because they were so nice. Stay away from this Hakim store, go to Ajax Family Eye Care!

Just picked up my new glasses! I love them and I love the deals they have. I have been dealing with Hakim for the past 10 years (2 different locations) and have been impressed with the service and products!

The guy there was rude..he was nice till i paid..said the glasses will be ready on Thursday but i went Friday and had to wait for some time till he was finishing them. The size wasn't fit on me and he was arguing it is!Gave me one case that was not closing properly and changed it after i insisted..only one cloth for two glasses..comeon paying over 370$ and this is what i get?I am not going back again.. walmart guys are much nicer!!

The lady with a dark skin and black wavy hair was very rude and not willing to help or do her job. The customer service was really bad. They should definitely fire these rude people who just don't know how to work. I went to Costco instead and they fixed my glassed immediately which the lady in Hakim couldn't do!!!
