We received excellent service with fresh food and different design like art. Our waiter Mr. Pier was very professional and friendly. The perfect experience I ever had in, La Pocatiere.

We were 5 people, and were seated at the table for 4. The cafe wasn’t busy at all , but our request to join an additional table at the far back end of the patio and seat comfortably there was refused with a simple “we can’t do that “. I had to ask more than twice , explaining that two small tables stuck together is really not enough space for all of us. They agreed eventually, but we should have just left instead. No hospitality whatsoever.

Really good food. Foie was great. We also loved salmon tartar. Dessert offering was impressive.

Quite simply, this place is a hidden treasure. We were passing through the area during our vacation and it was highly recommended that we try this place. Despite obvious problems related to COVID-19 ( shortage of staff especially ), we were treated to excellent service and especially to fantastic cuisine. The four of us ordered different meals and were all very impressed by the presentation and taste of our food. Our hostess was extremely courteous and despite the obvious rush she was in to serve many tables, she performed remarkably well and was fully deserving of our generous gratuity. A Very Highly recommended place to try if you are in the area of La Pocatière .

Their customer service is great. My friends and I didn’t speak much French and they were very patient with us and spoke English. The food was ridiculously good, I loved their beetroot and carrot soup, and their poutine was very delicious and had mustard and peas on it which were new for me but very enjoyable. The only concern is that the prices are high so don’t expect to go there for a cheap meal, the prices range from 8 for appetizers to 40 dollars for one meal.

On a road trip to the Maritimes, and wanted something that was local, original and better than fast food for a late lunch. A quick search of nearby restaurants revealed Cafe Azimut as meeting those criteria. Only a couple other diners at the time. The interior is simple yet nicely decorated with artwork for sale. The lunch menu is limited and yet sufficiently diverse. The poutine of the month involved a riff on beef Bourguignon, while the seafood chowder was rich and full of seafood. The shrimp salad with slices of Brie was perfect in size, quality and quantity. Also tried the Mystique hard apple cider, and found it very nice. May try to stop in for dinner on the return trip. Worth the short detour off Highway 20E or 20W.
