Shep the Sandpiper
A funny roadside attraction, Shep is the world's largest semipalmated sandpiper.

The bird is missing.. Location should be marked closed. Very disappointed we made the detour for nothing.

Update May 2023: Shep is back and all fixed up! You can walk up to the statue on some stairs, or walk around the grass to get a 360° view. There are several CBC News articles about the controversies about Shep’s reconstruction!June 2022: Unfortunately Shep is getting fixed and isn’t there (June 2022)! Happened to check in with the municipal office workers who were super nice about it; he’ll be back after he’s fixed up
