Dogwood Boarding Kennels

Pam and Peter are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They do an amazing job taking care of all the dogs in the kennel and I know I can rest easy when I leave my Bella with them. I'm very grateful for them especially when I don't have anyone to leave my dog with. Their prices are reasonable too.

I have a wolf dog malamute cross whom I brought to Dogwood for day boarding. While the records I sent to the kennel show him as a malamute X the previous veterinarian stated on his record. While my dog clearly has some wolf content he is a combination and the friendliest you can meet. All went well at the kennel and no issue, I expected to return. They seemed nice however after leaving Peter had the nerve to send me an email stating the wolves are illegal to own along with the SPCA guidance on the issue. Well.. this was quite disappointing as it was apparent Peter did not do his due diligence. Yes, of course wolves are illegal to own and rightfully so as with any pure wild animal. He did not properly read his own article which stated wolves not wolf dogs or do his proper research as wolf dogs/hybrids are entirely legal to own. He claimed they would be liable which completely false. Very disappointing to receive this email and not because of the option to kennel as I have found an excellent option but because I now question the professionalism of this kennel and inability to pay attention to details. Consider that your pet may be improperly profiled or not cared for to the highest standard if not deemed to current standards. Zero stars if an option.

Our dog had a safe and happy stay at Dogwood Kennels. So good to know we can take her to Dowood next time we go away.

I could not get into my regular groomer who was booked up. I decided to try Jen. Glad I did. She did an amazing job. Copper (my dog) has sore back legs; Jen was very considerate of his needs and made sure he did not strain. I really appreciate her consideration and attention to detail (she even trimmed around his toes!). He has never looked better! Would highly recommend.

We recently took our dog here for a weekend and she was excited to be dropped off after a previous introduction. Pam and Peter are very friendly. We were also able to have grooming done during the same stay.

Dogwood kennels have been such a reliable and friendly place to take our Great Dane puppy. Peter and Pam are always so warm and welcoming and genuinely love what they do. During a family emergency recently they were able to take our pup short notice outside of regular hours without question. i always feel so comfortable leaving my dog with them. Highly recommend!

Pam and Peter have 44 years worth of knowledge and experience in the business. Not only that but they genuinely care for every animal. They will give you peace of mind that your fur baby is well taken care of.

After a few trial runs to get the girls used to the place, we finally left them for a week. Pam & Peter treated them really well and we will absolutely be using Dogwood again!

The facilities are always sparkling clean. They have great prices and very accommodating. Pam and Peter truly care about your fur babies. I have finally found a kennel I feel comfortable leaving my dog at.

Recently my wife and I traveled to Cannon Beach and boarded our Boxer Luna at Dogwood Kennels. We were worried when we first visit the infrastructure, but immediately felt comfortable leaving our beautiful hyper 7 months old Luna in Pam and Peter care. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They put so much care and attention to the kennels. The whole place is very clean and spacious. They even emailed us to let us know how she was doing and everything. We could enjoy our trip knowing she was in good hands. Dogwood will be her second home from now on.Thank you very much again for taking such a good care of our baby Luna and for all of your attention and advice to us.We really appreciate everything.Kim, Luna & Rafael
