Home Sauna Kits - Since 1974

What a great product you produce. Ordered the book first and after reading and planning where the Sauna would go ordered the package. The materials came packed extremely well and found no damage. The package was shipped over the Christmas holiday and I received it two days before New Years. Working alone and only limited hours a day I was able to complete the project in less than two weeks. Should add I am not a carpenter and have been retired for twelve years.My wife and I plan to try out the finished product tomorrow but we are both so pleased with our choice of product and Home Saunas Since 1974.P.S. My wife is Finish and says that this is the most professional sauna she has every seen.

I started this project in April 2017 and completed on Christmas day 2017 which was longer then expected and did have help from several friends. I did receive the book The Art of Sauna Building from Home Sauna Since 1974 which I followed and was very helpful in the process. Make sure your ceiling rafts go the right direction for the size of cedar being used. I did follow the book and had to drop the ceiling for the rafts to go opposite direction which was time consuming. Very important to know the exact size of the cedar kit. For example my sauna room is 7X9 and the dressing room is 5X9 and I assumed the ceiling would be 9 feet, however the kit came with 7 feet ceiling for the sauna area and 5 feet for the dressing room. The book shows it opposite for the building of the rafts and this was my first sauna, my mistake and it would have saved me time if I was a little more meticulous to detail.My main reason for a 5 star is the individual who answers the phone is the main bloodline of this company. She is Margaret Pugh and goes by the name Marg. Would not be the business of high standards without you in the center keeping the outstanding quality of rapport with customers. I do appreciate the time you have put into this project with all my questions and concerns, which has made this Sauna a wonderful addition to our home.Jack also helped with many technical questions which I appreciate the time to explain in detail issues pertaining to this project.Bottom line is an outstanding experience with this company as they went out of their way to make it happen!Thank you again Marg!!

After doing a lot of research online, I found Home Saunas Since 1974. Worked out nicely that they are in Ontario and I am in the Detroit suburbs so shipping was fast and efficient even though they had to cross the boarder.I ordered a 5x8 Best" kit

There was some damage by the LTL delivery service, which you handled promptly and professionally. I may have already presented a review. No matter. We absolutely LOVE this 4 x 6 sauna. We bought one for a cottage about 20 years ago and now did it again for this, our forever-home. Once the framing is completed (we had a builder do that here in our basement during a build-out), we were ready to assemble. I had the space so I spread out the boxes so it was clear what was where. It's a matter of following the pretty darn good instructions. My builder and I worked as a team. I built the benches, nailed in the wall and ceiling slats and after an electrician installed the heater and controls, I built the guard rail. The door is really beautiful but it took my contractor a good bit of time to install it perfectly. There was enough material to build one simple back rest which is a sweet addition. Bottom line: these people know how to pack and ship a great product which gives back so much in benefits. We sauna 3-5 times a week year round here in New Hampshire.

In early April 2022 I decided to get a sauna. I contacted a company called “Home Saunas Since 1974” and was provided professional information and advice from Paul Lougheed, one of the companies’ sauna experts.Once the decision was made about size, Paul provided sound advice on the best location for my sauna and on 25 April 2022 I purchased the 4 by 6 sauna kit from “Home Saunas Since 1974“.The sauna kit was delivered on 23 May. I was impressed with the quality of the materials which were very well packaged within a wooden crate offering maximum protection. I made good use of a lot of the wood used for packaging as a most of it was cedar. It made for extra trim for the sauna.The quality and condition of the cedar boards made the building of the sauna easy and without a glitch.The heater is supplied by the Saunacore company. The staff at Saunacore were quick to respond to my questions and provided expert and professional advice.Overall, the purchase of my sauna from “Home Saunas Since 1974” and their advice has made the building a very positive experience. The results exceed my expectations on all fronts.I highly recommend “Home Saunas Since 1974” as I am certain they will meet your sauna requirements.
