Rented a chain saw for 2 hours chain came off hit my brother in the leg. Took chain saw back and the lady was trying to blame me for chain coming off then made me pay extra money to replace 2 bolts off it. Customer service is horrible. I would never go back there again and neither should you. I give this place zero stars

Try to rent wood chipper working my my 14 acre property on Christian island..... well don’t tell them your going by to be using anything on or near a reserve because they flat out won’t rent to you...Asked for a 25,000 deposit, because things usually go missing from people who go to reserves.

Amazing place to rent from. My company rents from here on a regular basis and we prefer them from anyone is the area. That being said, reading other reviews, if you don’t know how to operate the tool you’re renting, or have minimal experience, maybe hire a professional instead.

Rented me a defective chainsaw! The darn thing almost took my leg off! Then changed me for repair to the chainsaw! I WOULD BE VERY CAREFUL RENTING FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! NOT A GOOD BUSINESS, STEER CLEAR! I DON'T EVEN GIVE ANY STARS FOR THIS BUSINESS!

Bad experience. I rented a chipper for a weekend and it broke down. When i dropped it back off i asked for a manager to give me a call to hopefully work something out but instead I got billed the full rate with no call. I called and got ahold of the manager who said he would talk to the big boss to see if something could be done. I got a voicemail a couple hours later saying that thats the price and its not changing. I called and left several messages over the next couple weeks but never got a call back. I feel ripped off. Dont waste your time with this place.

I had a situation whereby I rented a 5 ton mini excavator. There was a hydraulic leak and I thought I possibly damaged something. Most of the fluid leaked out. The owner, Chris Henderson indicated that his shop would have to check it out. I understood that I would have been responsible for it had it been my error. Luckily the mechanic called and it was simply a loose connection and that I didn't break or owe anything. When I reviewed my credit card statement it was higher than what I thought it would be by about $100-$150. There was a charge for hydraulic fluid as well as stepping into the next full day for the hours I put on the machine. It was a communication error and I thought I would only pay for the 2 hours I exceeded the allotted time for. After reviewing the invoice with Chris, he offered a credit towards my next rental someday. I was pleased with that and glad he handled it so well. I will definitely recommend them and continue to give them my business. Thanks, Chris.

I bought a cutter machine from them after a few days later trying to return that they do not return parts even if the product is defective I totally not recommend them after speaking to the manager trying to exchange to a better machine they refuse to take the return buy your product somewhere else not from them

Reserved a stump grinder and when arrived at 7:30AM to pick it up, I was told that the unit was being repaired. I asked why I wasn't advised that the grinder was not available as they had my telephone number. The owner then interjected and told me that I had told them that I would not pick it up the grinder till 2:00PM, which I did not, but that was his excuse for not calling me. The repair company was called by an employee a few minutes earlier to see if the stump grinder repair would be completed that day. They said it could not. So, even if I arrived at 2:00pm the grinder would not be available. So, it appears that his excuse for not calling me was bogus. It also appeared to me that rather than lose a possible rental he was hoping the grinder would be repaired and returned before I arrived, but be he couldn't be bothered to confirm when the grinder would be repaired or to call me to advise that the grinder may not be available. Better a customer waste his time, gas and have to arrange for another day to do the job, than have the owner of Elmvale Rental Supply lose a rental.
