Bishop's Rest Bed & Breakfast

The location is perfect for those doing the Island Walk. The rooms are spacious, the food delicious. We decided to take a rest day there and appreciated the comfortable furnishings and the outdoor spaces. Sara saw to our every need and we left refreshed and restored.

Truly wonderful place to stay on the Confederation Trail. I would definitely come back and hopefully stay longer. Great peaceful location, setting, amenities, and delicious food. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the loft of a nicely restored family home. We had the option to order dinner there and we took advantage of that feature. Dinner and a plentiful breakfast were both served in the loft due to covid. Netflix was available on t.v. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend better pillows for the bed.

Beautifully restored 1890s home.Friendly and informative hosts.Had a great dinner and excellent breakfast.Perfect place to stay if you’re on the Island walk.I would highly recommend it would stay again.

We stayed in the Master bedroom about 7 days ago. The house and bedroom where very nice and clean.The bedroom was large with a king size bed (might be a California king) and a large ensuite. The shower had two rain heads and 4 body jets. There was plenty of storage in the bedroom if you are staying for multiple nights.When staying there they will offer to cook supper (for a very reasonable price) and I highly recommend you accept. For supper there are a few different choices. The meal was fantastic. Since they are located in the country it was nice to have the option of eating supper there.Breakfast was continental which worked well so we could eat at our own schedule. There are many choices so nobody should leave hungry.They are located in the country so it is very quiet. The Confederation Trail is located very close to their property which makes it ideal for any bikers or hikers using the trail.Sarah and Ben are very busy with work and kids but somehow find the time to run a great Bed and Breakfast.I highly recommend this place.

We are traveling by bicycle, so it's difficult to access meals/stores etc., so they offer to make dinner for guests, if you request it. And, wow, what a dinner we had! Fabulous!Our loft room was clean, comfortable and a very interesting shape. We had our own bathroom, shower and tub.The large house has been completely renovated, and is beautiful. It is a country setting, with a cemetery in the distance. Makes for a lovely quiet sleep! Breakfast was delicious and generous. Highly recommend staying here.

Cannot say enough great things about this place! The rooms were lovely, dinner and breakfast were both great - they even had a very good selection of local beer!Our room was very comfortable and quiet. If ask about their dogs, they will let you pet them sometimes!Highly recommended!

We stayed with Sarah and Ben for 3 nights and were thrilled with every aspect of our stay. The B & B is a lovely restored old manse and we were up in the recently renovated loft with a spectacular view of the Hillsborough River. The loft is beautiful and was perfect for two. It was extremely comfortable and very thoughtfully furnished with everything we could possibly need or want. Our hosts were both warm, welcoming and helpful and the food we had there was out of this world. We had a delicious breakfast each morning (with fresh baking from the bakery downstairs) and we also had dinner there every evening. Ben is an amazing chef and if he was operating a restaurant here in Toronto we would be regulars and would be recommending him to everyone we know. If we get back to PEI we will be staying at Bishop's Rest!

My husband and I stayed at Bishop's Rest in the Bishop's Suite for 3 nights, June 14-17. Not only were the owners amazingly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was filling and so tasty. Every morning we got up and had a full breakfast of boiled egg, fruit salad, cinnamon rolls, other baked goods, yogurt, cereal or oatmeal. The B&B itself was immaculate, beautiful and relaxing. Next time (because there definitely will be a next time) we're going to stay for dinner as well because we heard so much from the other guests at how amazing it was.

Thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful wedding anniversary evening with my wife capably hosted Sarah and Ben in their charming home. They went out of their way to insure everything was perfect and the surprise secure. Loved the “master” suite with the large tub and shower!The food was 5*, and the oysters were the best I’d tasted in years!Ben is an excellent chef and baker - his cinnamon rolls are next level.Thanks so much, once again, Sarah and Ben!
