Future Hair Training Centre

I would never consider getting my haircut anywhere else. I love Future Hair. The owner and other teachers at the school are generally all very professional, highly skilled and great at ensuring that the student understands what you need. If you happen to get greener rookie student then the teacher will come in and assist on any complicated parts of your haircut, so you can always leave looking fantastic. Simply the best student salon in the city, if not the whole GVRD.

I have had multiple wonderful experiences at future hair. Most of my family has been coming to this salon for many years. This was the first place I went to get my hair dyed blue, and I was ecstatic with the result. But not only are they amazing with hair there nails are wonderful as well. I have gone to get a shellac manicure done by a student and I was very impressed with the outcome. This is a magical salon and I enjoy spending time there. The energy and people are all wonderful and I have nothing but good things to say about this place!

I have been a client here for many years the one-on-one workmanship from the instructors and students is unlike any other. The teachers are very up-to-date and give productive information to the students to ensure the future of their careers. I have visited other schools and felt that the students weren't given the productive criticisms and information to complete their services properly but at future hair there is constant guidance. If you as a client or student want the real deal and experience of all aspects of hair check it out you won't regret it. :)

I have been cutting my hair at Future Hair Training Centre for the past two years and I have never been disappointed! I naturally have thick, curly hair. The students and stylist do a great job with cutting and styling it in many cool ways that suit my hair type. The environment is extremely positive, warm and cozy. The students and instructors are professional and friendly. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I love being a client there. I am thankful for having positive experiences with hair cuts at Future Hair Salon.

Great atmosphere and lovely people. I've been coming here for years now for my haircuts and everytime, I've had relatively positive results. The people are extremely nice and the decor of the place is super inviting. The area where you get your hair washed is super comfortable, and the students that I've gotten in the past do a superb job. I've only gotten my hair cut at this place before as I'm not exactly trusting of students doing other things to my hair since it is a training centre. However, most often, Cynthia is the one who does the finishing touches or at least guides the students well enough to produce positive results.

I've had a great experience having my roots dyed at this salon, multiple times. I would normally struggle to hold colour on my roots in the past- always having to RE-dye within a week - but this place got it right every time! Only 35$ for roots, which was a great price too.I came in for a full head colour as my 3rd visit, after having roots done the week prior, and there was some issues I had with the final result- but the owner Cynthia was wonderful about understanding my perspective and offered multiple options to correct how I was feeling. It was relieving to know that I was able to share my concerns and have a positive conversation about it. She was very genuine about wanting to make sure that her clients didn't leave unhappy, and I believe that. Regardless of my full colour experience being off from what I expected, I absolutely still recommend this location. Especially if you're looking for a place that offers a pleasant vibe and affordable pricing.

I would like to give my perspective as an instructor/student from future Hair Training Center I started the program over 8 years ago. working with Cynthia and other educators I felt that the program was best suited to me because of the hands-on experience and one-on-one training that I was given. In my studies I had constant guidance and was always given productive criticism (which at times can be hard to swallow when you're new at something) but has made me into the stylist I am today. Without this guidance I would not be where I am in this industry. Fast forward 7 yrs & I love my job, I love my team and I love my students. The school has become a hub of beauty culture. It's not just a beauty school, it provides services for the community at an affordable price and an open educational atmosphere for students to work on hundreds of people getting to experience all types of hair services.In the real world of hairdressing we are critiqued everyday not just by our bosses but by our peers and by our clients, if you cannot handle this you simply need to revise your future as a stylist as this is not only about your own beauty it's about people's insecurities, vanity, self-love and growth. We try our best to meet the needs of every person that walks through our doors. No matter what you do or what you say it is within yourself to change your perspective, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We are all here to learn and grow together if you want to be challenged and want grow this is the place for you. If it doesn't challenge you it doesn't change you learn to grow and grow with us. I've been coming to this place for a couple of years now I've been introduced by one of the instructors who I used to work with. I have come in a couple of capacities I have come as a client as well as a student. As a client it is really fun and interesting to watch the students come in learn grow cultivate there craft and then move forward. As a student I have never met a place where I have gotten so much support on going as well as in the building from the instructors. If you're somebody who is a go-getter and really wants to learn and Excel and drink up as much knowledge as humanly possible this is the place for you. It is a high-paced learning environment where you're getting hands-on experience which is extremely valuable for the work world. It's not like you're just sitting in class all day sucking in theory information the applied hands on dealing with clients and interacting with other students is what I find essential. As somebody who's been in the beauty industry already for many years when I come back for refreshing courses I like the fact that I'm still in high Pace Salon environment which is what I'm accustomed to. I have been blessed amongst the years of coming here to see a shining star in Cynthia. She is the type of person who consistently wants to give people in life a hand up not a hand out. This is for myself included . I love the culture when I come here how there's people from all walks of life learning and growing. I have left this place many times whether it's been as a client or in a learning situation where I literally felt like my spirit is uplifted and recharged just from being around the environment and the energy of this place

I have been a customer at FHTC for the past 18 years and have nothing but good things to say about the salon and its owner, Cynthia. She is a fantastic stylist and professional business owner who has done so much for the community and her students over the years. Many of my friends and family members are also customers at future hair and have had the same experience as me. We love Cynthia and the excellent service her staff and students provide!
